Benefit Majorette

Benefit Majorette Booster Blush ($28) is a new cream to powder blush launching this September for Fall 2014. Let’s face it Benefit knows how to do blushes! With a range of best selling box of powder blushes under their belt (which I absolutely adore) there’s no doubt in my mind that Benefit was going to do something great with their new Majorette Blush!

Let’s take a peek!

Aside from Fine One One I wouldn’t say Benefit has done a wide range of cream blushes in the past so Majorette Booster Blush comes as a pleasant little Fall release.

Benefit Majorette Blush

Benefit markets it’s new blush as something that will add pep, poise, and popularity to your look! I so had that Teen Witch moment of twirling around the room singing, “I wannnaaaa be the most popular girl” I dunno about popular but this orange-y coral blush gives me a cheeky punch of color that brightens up my face and makes my duller, lackluster skin glow!

Housed in a circle plastic compact it flips open to reveal a full size mirror and a domed blush with a cute sunburst design. The blush is protected by a plastic lid which easily removes when you’re ready to use it. Benefit made it in such a way that it’s easy to use with your finger tIps. So just touch it with your fingers, smile pretty, and dab it onto the apples of your cheeks. Those who don’t wish to use their fingers, no problem, grab your faV fibre blush and swirl it on in! The formula is creamy but not tacky, sticky, or thick! It has a soft powdery feel almost instantly but blends easily onto cheeks adding a seamless, flirty burst of color. It wears for around six hours on my drier skin without fading or losing intensity. Oh did I mention it has a peach and pomegranate fragrance that adds a little fun to application!

Needless to say as with all Benefit blushes this is a win! The cream to powder formula wears quite long and the color adds this beautifulLY healthy glow to cheeks (don’t worry, no shimmer here, just a pure cream finish) and applies easily! For those that love cream blushes I know that Majorette Booster Blush is going to win a spot in your makeup collection!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Drool! I need this. And what adorable packaging! Thanks for the review and swatch, Muse. You are my biggest enabler.

  • Christina

Wow, this look really smooth and not too creamy. The color is nice, too! I have drier cheeks, but I don’t always want dewy cheeks. Perhaps this will work for me!

    • Isabella Muse

not dewy or sticky in the least, it’s a true powdery cream finish 😀

  • Amber

    Dearest Miss Muse,
I’m just writing you to say that you are TOO cute and I absolutely adore your pics!! I truly appreciate how you match your hair accessories and blouses as well as taking the time to model each and every product you review. God Bless you and keep up the good work! :-).

    Lots of love,
    Amber 🙂

I want to buy this for packaging alone lol! This blush complements your lip color so well 😀

    • Isabella Muse

oh thanks Brian! Def get it. It’s so cute and it gives such a nice peachy glow on cheeks 😀

  • Melissa

If I live a good long, full life, and never buy another blush, I’ve got enough to last me and to still leave some in my will. But omg, the packaging on this is so freaking cute I think I have to have it! I am totally blaming you for this purchase.

  • Nat

OMG orange gingham top with lace trim on the neckline? You are adorbs! Wish we could see your whole outfit! 😀

  • Lucy

I can’t wait to order one when it gets to Sephora.
They had them in the Benefit kiosk at the airport and the second I saw it I wanted it. Sadly the machine was broken so I couldn’t buy it.

  • Kelly

I have always enjoyed your reviews, but quoting teen witch upped your cool quota immensely!

  • Tanya

Okay, I think I NEED this. Just the other day I was using my the Balm How ‘Bout Them Apples blush palette and thinking as much as I love it, the only two things missing are a peach color and a fragrance. This sounds like the perfect item!

Am I the only one that hates Benefit’s blushes? 🙁 I have fair skin and they don’t show up on me! So sheer! They smell amazing though. What’s your favorite one? Maybe I can give that one a shot. I had such high hopes for Rockateur. But for $28, I’d rather go with NARS.

Love it! ty for sharing the review, now I can see what it really looks like ahead of time.
One question Isabella, is this too orange? TIA. I say this as it looks quite orange that in the pan (although many ‘pop’ of color shades do look bright I know).
I will hope to see if I get a reply (I checked off the box below ;).
My best and love your site…it’s done so well, keep up the good work, people like me rely of your reviews and clear swatches plus darling pics.

        Thanks for the reply!
It looks pretty natural on…so that’s all I need to know and seeing it on you it looks like a healthy flush..so I’ll be heading out to my nearby ulta to see it along with other goodies!!! 😉

        • Isabella Muse

it’s actually hear but buildable so if you just want something really natural this should do the trick 🙂 my pleasure, I hope you like it!

  • Liz McNeil

I love this blush and I want to find a lipstick similar to this color- do you recommend any? What is the color you are wearing in your picture? All suggestions welcomed! 🙂 Thanks!
