About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’d be interested to know how it performs before I plunk down $50…but I have to admit those bottles are tres sexy.

    So two things…

First, the bottles for these remind me of the ‘potion bottle’ from the movie Death Becomes Her that the immortality potion thingy was in.

Second, don’t these bottles look like weapons? Looks like you could pick one of these up and stab a zombie with it something O_O

Man, “The noirs” as totally my jam. But $50 is a touch aspirational price wise for me. I’m considering asking for one as a gift for the holidays this year.

Muse, here are some really pretty shades, but I am sorry, that price is just freaking ridiculous. I draw the line at spending $26 on Chanel nail polish or around that for Christian Dior. There’s nothing about this that can be that spectacular. I’m sure those Kardashian cows are using this and for that reason alone, I’m proud I will not be wearing this nail polish. I am also someone who is not impressed by the Louboutin shoes. If I had that kind of money to spend on shoes, that would be the last brand I’d buy; in my opinion, I find the red soles tacky.

I find the colors uninspiring, personally. I love nail polish but there’s nothing fun or unique about these to justify the $50 price-tag.
