Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup

Fall apparently seems to be the season for new foundations! Lancome has one, YSL has one, and Estee Lauder has a new Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup for Fall 2014 too!

For me, base makeup is typically a New Year release. We start seeing many new skincare and base products including foundations and concealer right after the New Year in the month of January. But it looks like Fall is overtaken with many, many, many new foundation products! Even drugstores are getting in on the trend as L’Oreal has a new incredible Visible Lift Blur Foundation and Concealer I’m loving at the moment!

Estee Lauder Perfectionist Youth-Infusing Makeup ($45) is formulated with an anti-aging serum and promises visibly brighter skin at the first application. The oil-free formula hydrates and creates a radiant, more youthful look that blurs the appearance of fine lines.

It’s available in 21 shades and you can get it now at Sephora.com.

What do you think?

I don’t really love serum foundations in all honesty as even though many are oil-free they still feel a little too slick and oily on my skin.

Which foundation are you lemming most for your Fall looks?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have been using Estee Lauder Perfectionist foundation for over a week and I love it. This is a “treatment foundation”, meaning it contains the same ingredients as the Perfectionist serum and blends it with foundation pigments. You get far, far more for your money than other foundations which cost about the same or more. I have normal-to-oily combination skin and this foundation does not make the oily parts look oily. It is not super-matte either. You get a healthy glow. The coverage is medium, not full as EL claims. However, I do not recommend this foundation for very oily skin. I wore this for 5 hours and I noticed no fading or oxidation. The glass pump bottle ensures that the liquid does not come into contact with too much bacteria or air; this preserves the effectiveness of the ingredients. Best of all is the SPF 25 broad spectrum sunscreen in the foundation. There is no irritating fragrance. It is alcohol-free. There are many shades for different skin tones – pay attention to the Lauder foundation color scheme: W means warm (yellow undertones); N means neutral (more red in the foundation); C means cool (pink undertones).

It’s awesome, had it applied at a counter with their new foundation brush, its lightweight and still has amazing coverage, love the packaging, Estee Lauder you did it again, came out with another fantastic product 5 gold stars!! (All of their products are awesome and never seem to disappoint)
