Jane Satin Split Sticks

Jane Satin Split Sticks ($8) are a new satiny lipstick that contain two shades of color for an ombre lip look. The new Satin Split Sticks will be available in five shades and get a launch this September at Kohls and on Jane Cosmetics website.

Let’s take a peek!

I recently tried out Jane Satin Split Sticks in the shade In the Buff which contains a dusky mauvey rose and a nude peach shade. I wish I can say I could see the contrast on my lips but once applied it seems like the nude overpowers the rose of this shade! I love the idea of split lipsticks but they never quite work for me.

This have incredible creamy formula. Wow! They glide on like butter with a thicker, creamier consistency that wears for a solid five hours without feathering or migrate. The cream finish is quite thick but doesn’t feel heavy on lips. They are highly pigmented and provide a full color pay off on a single application. The soft, supple formula is very impressive with an easy, no tug application on lips!

If you love cream finish lipsticks I’m sure you’ll adore Jane Satin Split Sticks! These are gorgeously formulated with a smooth, buttery satin finish!

I love the deeper shade of the duo. I’d buy that on its own. The paler shade is too light for my tastes, though. I’ve never had that much luck with ombre lip looks either. I prefer just blending or having the perfect shade.

I like that swatch. Very pretty. Will have to check it out. There used to be a brand on QVC called Mojave Magic. They had split tubes that were nice colors. One side more pigmented; other side kinda frosty, but blended together were pretty.

I could see this working for an ombre effect if one holds the tube horizontally, but I think it’s a safe assumption that most of us hold it vertically…? The shades are just going to end up blending together, creating a mix of the two. That said, I do like the color(s), and if I use a brush like I do 99+% of the time, it’ll be like getting 2 for 1!

OMGoodness, could you have found your “perfect nude”? LOL this looks great on you. I think I would love the consistency too.
