Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer Protect + Perfect

I’ve been nursing a bottle of Josie Maran Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer for literally ages! It’s one my very favorite tinted moisturizers and I simply hate the idea of being without it. Needless to say when Josie Maran Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer popped up in the Josie Maran Age Beautifully Argan Hydration Skincare QVC Todays Special Value Set I quickly ordered it up!

I believe Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer might have been exclusive to QVC!? Either way it disappeared for quite sometime and wasn’t to be found anywhere aside from Evilbay for a crazy amount of money. The reintroduction is a welcome relief since my current bottle is almost done and I’ve been using it well over a year.

It’s seriously one of my most favorite tinted moisturizers and I never had the chance to review it so here’s some thoughts!

Josie Maran Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer should not be confused with the regular Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 as this formula is tinted where as the regular formula is not!

It is available in a single shade unfortunately but I’m quite alright with the lighter peach shade as it flatters my complexion just perfectly. The main difference between the formula I currently use and the new one is the SPF is a touch higher at 47 versus my version of SPF 40! I did notice that this new formulation is a little more moisturizing as well with a serum-like texture that applies, blends, and absorbs easily into skin.

I can’t express how much I love this stuff. I don’t think oily skin will adore it but I find it works great for my drier skin. This has a loose, thinner texture that reminds me of a serum. It’s lightly tinted but it’s enough of a pigment that my skin looks polished, evened, and brighter after a single application. The plus side of the formula is of course, it not only evens out skin tone and perfects it but also protects it with the addition of SPF 47!

The wear time is a little shorter so I tend to set it with a dusting of Benefit the Porefessional Agent Zero Shine. Set with powder I can get at least six hours of wear but without it fades at the four hour mark.

I dunno what it is about Josie Maran Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer but it’s just a product that really works for me. It provides nice moisture but doesn’t make my skin oily or shiny. It perfects, evens out, and creates a really natural finish on my skin that enhances the look of my own natural skin tone. Mind you not everyone is going to love sheerer coverage like this but if you already have fairly good skin that you want to push into the perfect zone this is exactly the product you need to do it.

I can’t recommend this one enough!

I’m happy it’s available in the Josie Maran Age Beautifully Argan Hydration Skincare Set but also rather sad it isn’t an individual purchase….! At least there’s auto delivery on the set because it’s sincerely a product I do not want to do without!

i love this product too and couldn’t find it anywhere! i bought it in a set so many years ago, then tried to find it at sephora (but the BA’s didn’t know what i was talking about) and just gave up. so happy to hear it’s back in this set!

alice same here, I think I got it about two years ago originally on qvc in a set. I later purchased a second bottle on amazon.com from a personal seller. but it was never at Sephora! it was on QVC as an individual purchase many moons ago but it’s since been sold out and never reappeared so was very happy to see it pop up again!

Cool! I really liked the “regular” SPF 40 stuff, so this sounds like it will work a treat for me when the weather cools down, and my skin dries out. :-\ I am eager to get this set – Can’t wait til it’s the TSV to order it!

I just received this and it’s really a little too dark and orangy or yellow on my skin. What I did was mix a pump of this with Josie’s serum foundation that changes color to match your skin tone. Matchmaker…I just remembered the name. I am on my second bottle of the Matchmaker foundation and this bottle doesn’t seem to change color on me and stays white. Well, after mixing equal parts, I love it. I know I don’t get the full SPF now but I still love the look and hydration and by using both the color is much nicer.

It’s on Sephora website, and I just got mine.
I was trying to find something as good as the Perricone No Foundation Foundation Serum.

The Perricone one is still the holy grail for me, too bad it’s out of stock 🙁

Have you tried the Perricone? If you like the Josie cream, you would love the other one even more…

Really, really enjoy your blog, you are a wonderful reviewer 🙂

I have! I prefer the Josie to be honest! Hopefully you like it! Let me know what you think! Aw thank you so much Imogen! xoxoxox!

I really did not like the Josie Maran – it is so heavy and it made my skin so greasy and shiny, still greasy after blotting it, so I returned it.

The Perricone serum just absorbs into the skin, is invisible, but makes the skin look absolutely flawless, and protects so well from the sun – on a holiday in the tropics my face was never sunburned, and I only had this foundation on.

Again thank you for a brilliant blog, I read it first thing, and I discovered so many interesting products because of you, like the Farmacy makeup melt :))
