Pur Minerals Wine Exfoliating Mask ($29) is one of my favorite skincare products of the moment. Although classified as an exfoliating mask I assumed I’d be sitting around with this on my face while eating bon bons and watching the Knick. But actually, it’s not your typical facial mask! It’s more of a scrub! Bless be! That’s great news because I honestly anything that’s mask related in a jar, well, typically it doesn’t work for me. That’s why I’m a fond fan of the instant results many Asian sheet masks provide. I’m just not the type to see around with green goo on my face in the hopes I’ll look brighter and smoother with no real elbow grease.
Pur Minerals Wine Exfoliating Mask however, works a treat at getting my skin glowing, smooth, and gorgeous with a little scrubbing action!
All Bath & Body Works Black Cherry Merlot Hand Soap be warned as this mask is addicting as it smells just like that hand soap! It’s a gorgeous cherry scented mask with some sweetness a hint of a full bodied red wine. It just smells delicious. I want to eat it!
The Pur Minerals Wine Exfoliating Mask was created to buff away drier skin using natural peach stone seeds which are ground up into smaller, gritty pieces. It contains an an antioxidant called Vitisin which is formulated from grape and supposed brightens dark spots. It also contains Resveratrox to firm skin as well as Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate skin.
It has a thick, gel-like texture that reminds me of jelly. To use it simply wet your face, scoop a bit out, and gently massage on your face. The gritty textured peach seeds are actually very, very good at buffing away drier skin. You’ll notice as you rub it in your face will start to turn pink! It’s kinda odd and I was worried for a second it would stain my face but it rinses clean away. As you work it breaks down but does not lather up. I have drier skin on my cheeks and between my brows with some oil on my forehead and chin. It whisked away my drier areas and truly my face was glowing after I used it. I was quite impressed with how smooth and soft my skin was and how easily my moisturizer absorbed after use. My face looked brighter thanks to the drier, dead skin being whisked away!
I liked hit, a lot. I haven’t really had a good run with exfoliating products as many make me feel tight after use but this was perfect. I came out of it with smoother, softer skin! I’d chalk it up as good as the Sephora Metamorphosis Exfoliating Powder I recently purchased if not better!
I’m looking forward to Winter when my skin is super dry and dull as this will surely be a perfect way to get it back in order.
For those seeking a highly effective way to whisk away dry skin I’d recommend Pur Minerals Wine Exfoliating Mask for sure!
