Smashbox On The Rocks Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette

Ulta.com has an early peek at the Smashbox On The Rocks Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette for Holiday 2014! This Ulta Exclusive Eyeshadow Palette features 12 shades of Smashbox’s best selling Photo Op Eye Shadow formulas in jewel inspired shades.

The palette is valued at $135. The design is a little larger but it does look like last year’s Smashbox Wondervision Mega Palette that also happened to be exclusive to Ulta!

The Smashbox On The Rocks Photo Op Eye Shadow Palette for Holiday 2014 is available now at Ulta.com for $36.

P.S. What did you think of our new fine Doctor? I watched Deep Breath twice and although it wasn’t the best intro to 12. But I did think there were many things in this episode that deserved to be applauded one of which, most especially, was the “Doctor is not your boyfriend”! Finally! It’s been too long that we have a flirty Doctor in the Tardis please let’s just get back to the sci-fi basics and stop falling in love with your companions!

Thoughts?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Perfect line! I think the age difference will help establish that now. She was making me mad with the “I don’t know you anymore” bit.

I feel the post-regen episodes are usually weak, so this was as I expected. I love that I can like a jerky Doctor now (ahem, ten in the beginning of season 2) because she’s not supposed to moon-eye over him in spite of it ‘cuz he’s a hottie. I’m feeling really positive about the turn Who is taking!

yeah, aside from Smith’s, he came in with a real bang! I def think Moff addressed fans who watch the show because “he’s cute” in this episode. So I def appreciate we can finally get back down to sci-fi!

That. is. STUNNING. Probably going to be at the top of my Christmas list!!

I’m liking the looks of this palette, but I think I may pass in favor of some other holiday palettes (since I already have at least 3 Smashbox palettes, and blue shades don’t suit me). I’m LOVING the direction the new season of Dr. Who is taking! I just about died when he made the comment about missing Amy! 🙂 Wit, sarcasm, sci-fi… What’s not to love?!

    • Isabella Muse

agreed 😀 he’s doing well so far, looking forward to seeing more!

I have a minor addiction to jewel tones, crap… Maybe Ulta will send me a 20% off any prestige brand item soon! It’s been a long time since they last did one of those. I really want this…

Mmmff. This palette I have such mixed feelings on. I feel like smashbox screwed up on quality control with this palette. Another blogger who had gotten this palette and I disagreed on the quality of a handful of the eyeshadows! Some that I found chalky and dry she absolutely loved and vice versa. i nearly had an aneurysm when she said that her least favorite shadow was a color that was a dreamy cream texture in mine!
It is a good deal savings wise but using the colors takes some luck and patience.
The glitter fallout on several of the colors is unreal.

I was disappointed with the Doctor Who premiere. It started out slow in the beginning and took me a long time to get into it. I hope it picks up because I hate being disappointed by Dr Who! Then again, for me it will never be as good as when David Tennant was the Doctor!!

DT was the ultimate Dr. Who for me. He was just so stinking adorable. I’m not sure what I think of Peter Capaldi yet.

    • Cindy

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!! Nothing will ever beat the Dr. and Rose!!!

I have a good feeling about Capaldi, I just didn’t think they gave him a good start. It’s getting harder and harder for me to follow the story – I’m wondering if little kids can follow it.

I had the same feeling about Matt Smith when he started – I just didn’t like him at first because he wasn’t DT, then he grew on me. It was NO DT, but I think the best episode with Matt Smith was the one where they met Van Gogh. The others just didn’t have the same feels, LOL!

I bought this today at Sephora. It’s not on the website.. so I don’t know what is going on. The photos do not do it justice in the slightest (the ones on the Smashbox website are particularly bad).. it’s gorgeous. That cranberry is full of multicolored glitter.. it sparkles like a christmas tree, and the brown next to it is similar.. I saw those two, swatched a couple more colors (all were fantastic pigmentation and so smooth and creamy, including the matte cream) and it was a done deal. I’ve been really “meh” about the holiday palettes so far this year, except for TF Everything Nice which is lovely, but THIS is a holiday palette.

I don’t like the new doctor. He just has no charisma IMO, and no chemistry with Clara romantic or otherwise. I watched the first two episodes and half the third.. just kind of lost interest after that. I’ll probably try again later on.
