Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment Under Eye Dark Circle Concealer Review & Swatches
Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment Under Eye Dark Circle Concealer in theory sounds great! This brightening undereye concealer was created to hide dark circles while supposedly treating the signs of aging. It’s actually a yellow tinged concealer and lord knows if anything works fab at neutralizing dark circles it’d be yellow toned concealer!
So I purchased it on sale during Sephora’s Summer send off clearance sale for a mere ten bucks.
And it’s a good thing I did before you do because it is a skip!
Girl (or guy) you are so going to thank me for not recommending this one to you. One thing I learned about my tired, puffy eyes is that I never, ever, ever should use light reflecting pigment concealers under ’em! Anything with mica in it is a big no and Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment Under Eye Dark Circle Concealer goes a little cra cra with the glitter and shimmer!
I’ll be honest they get a lot of stuff right with this formula! It comes housed tube, has a sponge applicator, and it applies perfectly. The formula is creamy, feels moist, and it doesn’t tug during application. I can swipe it on, blend it out, and I’m golden because the finish is gorgeous. It doesn’t crease into my finer lines nor does it look cakey plus it has a fairly strong wear at around six hours before showing signs of fading as I enter hour seven. The texture agrees beautifully with my drier eyes and even the color is great with just the right amount of pigment for natural coverage!
Soap & Glory says it contains something called HALOXYL which are dark circle, lightening peptides. I call HALOXYL, glitter. This contains A LOT of mica so it ends up kinda putting a spotlight on my fine lines and puffiness. I’ve never been able to get on board with concealers that contain mica because they seem to accentuate problems rather than mask them. The shimmer here is glaringly obvious when I apply it and out in the sun it just looks like I deliberately swiped shimmer under my eyes.

I’m not saying this won’t work for some…it might! If you typically like highlighting under your eyes or already use some sort of click pen highlighter slash concealer product and it works for you! Well, needless to say you might just love Soap & Glory Trick and Treatment Under Eye Dark Circle Concealer! Personally it’s a no go for me. It just looks like I’m shining a spotlight on my less than flattering issues like finer lines and puffiness.
It’s on sale now at Sephora.com.
