Stila Fall 2014

Stila Fall 2014 and the new Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palettes are popping up on beauty.com, sephora.com, and ulta.com and it is simply gorgeous to say the least.

Stila has been creating some fairly affordable products the last several years but hasn’t had any major dramatic collections in a while in my opinion. So I am quite excited about how luxurious their Fall 2014 is turning out to be. Stunning is an understatement especially the new Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palettes!

Must own them all!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. As Stila is a company that does not test on animals, and I already like all the Stila stuff I have, you can be sure I will be dipping into their gorgeous new collection. I may even buy a lip gloss, and I’m hardly a lip gloss girl to say the least, but that garnet colour is to die for.

  • Leslie

Oh, I wish they would make some of those lip gloss colors in the Stay All Day formula! I spent a looong time the other day in Sephora trying out the shades of Stay All Day gloss, and not a single one worked on me.

      Hey Leslie,

Hint for the Stay All Day Lips… I mix a TINY bit of concealer or foundation in with the color on the back of my hand. Seriously TINY. lol
It works for changing, brightening, and lightening the colors since they can be so bold.

Hope you don’t mind me barging in to your convo!

My sista from another mista! I ordered two of the new palettes from Ulta last week using the 20% coupon. Cannot wait to get ’em! And you know for sure that if I like them, I will be ordering the other two.

    • Isabella Muse

haha you’re awesome! but I think I created a monster hehehehe!

Ooooooooooooo……………. it’s gorgeous!! Do my eyes deceive me, or are the palettes themselves different colors? As much as I love them, I have to say they’re a bit pricy for stila… I will likely indulge, but not as much as I might have at this price. I simply MUST have the all matte palette – Mind, I think it is? I would like to see swatches before I jump in, but the triple VIB points thing only goes til teh 10th, so there may not be time to find swatches… decisions decisions….. 🙂

They’re all so beautiful! The matte one is really calling my name though! <3

It looks nice but $26 for Stila Mascara and $24 for a Stila gloss seems over priced. I think they should have priced the mascara around $20 and gloss around $18 because other brands with comparable quality (Tarte, Benefit, Too Faced) all are priced lower. I think this is a pass for me.

They are GORGEOUS!! I got to play with them yesterday and they’re still made with the quality of the original Stila products (my fave shadows in the industry, by far!). And even though they are more expensive, the packaging has changed to be more luxurious and substantial…not flimsy or easily broken.

All of the new Stila 2014 is even prettier in person!

P.S. FAVORITE Stila shadow is Diamond ‘Lil – you ought to try it! I put it on with a wet brush, then blend it with a dry one….LOVE LOVE LOVE. Then use Intense Black Liquid Liner on top, Cobalt Eye Liner on the water-line, and more Diamond Lil smudged underneath that.

Sista Muse! I just had to follow up on my post from yesterday since I received the two Stila palettes — Mind (mattes) and Soul (neutrals – kind of like Stila’s version of Urban Decay’s Naked) — and they are really lovely! The packaging is very nice, too.

So, off I went to Ulta today to get my hands on the other two palettes. BUT miracle of miracles, I didn’t purchase either!

Body (jewel tones) was next on my buy list until I saw and swatched it in person — holy glitter bomb! As much as a sucker I am for purples and blues, I had to pass. Pigmentation was so-so and I’m still wiping glitter off my arm where I swatched.

Spirit (re-releases of Stila favorites) looked really nice but I pretty much have several of the colors already and didn’t want to spend $49 for mostly repeats.

I hope that helps when making your purchases!

    • Isabella Muse

OH YAY! I can’t wait to get them! I ordered on sephora and they should be here today 😀 wahoooo! I got 2 but kinda want all four even the glitter bomb one lol! 😀 I was going to try and wait for a sale but these are too lovely not to get now. Thanks I’m relieved to hear Soul is good (that’s one of the two I got)!

  • Alyssa

Soooo I just left ulta, and while I was there I was browsing and soul caught my eye. Love at first sight! I purchased it on the spot. I have all three urban decay palettes, and lorac pro and unzipped and as far as neautrals go this palette it’s beyond gorgeous 🙂 they did a wonderful job!
