About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Anyone know if that color cream base works well on oily skin? I’ve never tried this product as I fear it will slide off my face. But I’m really intrigued by that Breaking Ground color. But what do I do with it?? Contour cheeks? I dunno, but I love that color.

I’m also dying to see swatches of the Next to Skin blush. I’m not big on blush. I’ve been hoarding my backups of Strada for years, it’s all I wear (*whispers “my precious”). So this next to nothing color might be right up my alley. Strada would have been a perfect re-promote for this collection. Damn you MAC, bring it back! Why the discontinue a color that sold like hot cakes is beyond me. I’m ready to just throw my money at them but they don’t want it 🙁

it’s very emollient, tacky, almost like bobbi brown pot rouge. It should be ok on oily skin! The tackiness allows it to wear long. Yeah, I think a majority of these shades are for contouring! I know 🙁 all the best shades always disappear wtf?!

I read that one of the blushes is already permanent, is that true? This is a beautiful collection and the blushes are more geared for fair skin I was reading.
