This or That Beauty: E.L.F. Studio Blending Brush

E.L.F. Studio Blending Brush

If you can’t quite pull the trigger on the MAC 224 that will set you back $32 you might just want to settle for the E.L.F. Studio Blending Brush that’s a mere $3!

This or That Beauty is all about inexpensive options to replace a higher end product that costs more you might be lemming! Don’t get me wrong I own and love my MAC 224! It’s a great blending brush that will last me many fine years (I already have it five years and it still looks brand new with daily use and washings). It has soft, longer bristles that don’t shed and blends shadows like a champ.

Of course, if you don’t have the heart to dish out $32 on a brush you might switch it up for the $3 E.L.F. Studio Blending Brush which just recently launched from E.L.F. Cosmetics. I haven’t personally tried it but I own many E.L.F. Studio Makeup Brushes and love ’em! This taklon brush can be used to blend colors or you can use it to brush and blend out concealer to an airbrushed finish. Plus that $3 sure makes it a tempting morsel because hey, even if you hate it, you didn’t break the bank buying it now did ya?

You can grab it now at www.eyeslipsface.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. From what I’ve read and seen the new Elf blending brush wouldn’t be a dupe for the 224 but rather the 217.

Ugh! Spent $22 on a foundation brush yesterday because that was the CHEAPEST option in my drugstore…I need to get me some ELF asap. Thanks for reminding us sometimes beauty can be bought on a budget!

ELF makes fantastic brushes! I use the stipple & complexion brush every day. Great for $3 each!

I own one of elf professional brushes that looks similar to studio blending. I love it and use it almost everyday. Thanks for this post!

I believe they have 224 Brush Dupes on eBay that are pretty close in shape to the Mac 224. I have those myself and they are pretty good – does the job and whatnot. 🙂

I miss the old ELF natural blending brush. I forget the name but it had the fake bamboo stem. They might not have been the softest but they did the job and I could buy a bunch and not wash my brushes as often as I should. 😉 I gave in and got a MAC 217 but unless a brush is life-changing I’d rather get a bunch of cheaper ones. At least for eye makeup. It’s just too much hassle to wash brushes.
