Hope Girl Tin Tin Star Eyeshadow Review & Swatches

Hope Girl Tin Tin Eyeshadow

I recently got my Hope Girl Tin Tin Star Eyeshadow when I purchased the Back to School Hope Girl Memebox. I actually got a randomly selected shade from Hope Girl in the color, Golden Brown (BR05). Perfect for me as I love brown eyeshadow!

Apparently the shadow is supposed to be extra long wearing with a mineral rich formula that doesn’t crease.

Let’s take a look!

Hope Girl Tin Tin Star Eyeshadow comes housed in a plastic combat with a mirrored border. It’s cute and typical Korean eyeshadow packaging.

I found the formula was a bit on the powdery side and quite dry. Pigmentation is awesome here but blendablity was poor due to the drier texture of the formula so I ended up with a bit of patchiness as I applied on my lids. The powdery texture translates as a good deal of fall out as well which bugged me since the color was so dark and it was difficult to clean up without leaving brown streaks on my face and under my eyes.

I think the pigmentation is something to rave but you actually have to work hard to get a good look with shadow due to patchy, uneven application and finish. It’s just a semi-matte eyeshadow that went a bit bad. It is however, workable as I used a little bit of the Rimmel Bootleg Brown ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick from the Holiday 2014 Collection as a base and Bob’s your Uncle it was looking pretty darn sweet.

In the end, though Hope Girl Tint Tin Start Eyeshadow isn’t all that great a formula sadly however, if you use a cream shadow base it is workable. Moral of the story, don’t buy it but if you did by chance get it in the Hope Girl Memebox use a cream shadow and it turns into a rather brilliant smoky brown that’s workable!
