If nothing else MAC Viva Glam Rihanna II Lipglass is unique and in my opinion a very essential purchase if you have plans to buy the MAC Viva Glam Rihanna II Lipstick because this is indeed a perfect companion piece to the lipstick and is key, in my opinion, to what makes the lipstick wearable.
MAC calls it a cool mauve with red frost but it feels like lilac gray to me with silver and pink shimmer. I find as the gloss wears away the shimmer remains on lips so it does contains a very good deal of sparkly goodness. It is quite sheer but it adds plenty of sparkle as an overcoat on top of a more pigmented lipstick. The shade is really what makes Viva Glam Rihanna II Lipstick wearable for me as it sheers the shade out and gives it less of a robotic finish and more of a vampy lipstick look. On top of red lipstick it adds a touch of an iridescent grayish purple cast and does the same for Rihanna II Lipstick! I think they’ll be some disappointment if you expect this to apply as a cool, frosty purple out of the tube. But you’ll love it if you plan on using it as a over coat for lipstick!
