Rimmel Scandal Eyes Gel Eyeliner

I recently grabbed up Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner when I saw it in the Rimmel Holiday 2014 display. Apparently this has been out a while in the US and I didn’t even know about it.

It is slightly deceiving though as the packaging does dub it as “new” but it looks like it launched a few months ago!

Anyone try it yet?

Rimmel ScandalEyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner comes housed in a plastic jar and includes a small eyeliner brush for application. At $5.79, it’s quite a nice steal!

Rimmel Eyeliner Brush

I have to admit that LOreal Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner is one of the best drugstore eyeliners I’ve had the pleasure of using but if you want to go a few dollars cheaper (L’Oreal’s version will set you back around $8.99) I’d say that the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is a good alternative.

This has an excellent black pigment with a slightly glossy finish. It glides on with a creamy texture and provides a perfectly smooth line without skipping or tugging during application. It doesn’t smudge on my drier eyes nor does it flake or crack and wore for a solid 12 hour on my eyes, removing easily at the end of the night!

All in all I was pretty darned impressed with the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner formula. If you want to cheapen up your gel eyeliner routine this under $6 buck eyeliner is a perfect budget replacement for your more higher end gel liners that cost you $20 and upwards!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is available now at drugstores.

Ooo when I run out of my L’oreal gel eyeliner, I’m definitely going to try this! It would be awesome if I end up liking the Rimmel one over the L’oreal since it’s so inexpensive. Thank you for the great review Muse!:)

Wow that looks nice! I usually like my gel liners more on the matte side but I’m loving the glossy sheen here. It gives it a nice touch. I’ll have to try this!

kind of random….but whats the brush like? i’ve been surprised (and burned) before by the brushes included in drugstore gel liner and im just curious. from the picture it doesn’t look as flimsy as i’d expect from a 6 dollar eyeliner!

the brush is good, along the same lines as the one that came with the loreal liner. It’s smaller but it does the job just fine!

I picked this up in brown a few months ago in a commissary when I forgot my MAC Dipdown for my brows. I absolutely loved it!
