Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks (Limited Edition Shades) Review & Swatches
Trespassing Taupe and Gold Digger are two of four limited edition shades of Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks launching with the Rimmel Rockin’ Around ScandalEyes Collection for Holiday 2014.
Oh Rimmel you outdid yourself with these! Three out of the four shades are matte in finish and well worth a back up! I picked up Trespassing Taupe and I had a moment of, “OMG Why didn’t I get a backup!?” I think it set me back $2.79 at Harmons after I used a $1 off coupon that was attached to the display. It’s a shade I’ll easily use in simple, daily looks to get a wash of taupe-y goodness on my eyes for quick yet really pretty eyes.
Let’s take a look!
Rimmel ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Sticks are chubby little cream eyeshadow sticks that you can use for all over shading or as a liner and definer. They have a soft, creamy texture that blends easily onto lids without tugging. The texture is quite lovely and isn’t stiff or dry plus it wears very well on my drier eyes without creasing or fading for about seven hours! I have several shades I own already as these are available in a range of permanent colors!

I was delighted to discover the Holiday 2014 shade selections recently at Harmons. I thought the matte brown and black were a little ho-hum but I did grab up Trespassing Taupe which is a smokey brownish taupe that’s matte in finish. This is really a color I love on my lids as it adds just the right smokiness but isn’t so overkill that it accentuates my finer lines or dark circles.
Another shade I purchased was Gold Digger. Out of the four shades Gold Digger is the only shimmery shade. This is a sparkly buttery gold. This is one of those festive shades of gold that wears easily and if you want can be paired up with either brown or red for a more festive eye look!

As nice as Gold Digger is I thought the real winner here was the delightfully matte and easy to use Trespassing in Taupe! It’s a keeper for those wanting a quick yet elegant smoked out eye!
