Urban Decay Aura Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder ($29) is a new shade extension of Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder that launched with the Urban Decay Holiday 2014 Collection!

In 2013, Urban Decay launched the original glowing beige sparkle shade with their Holiday 2013 Collection. It’s nice to see this year we get a brand new permanent shade for the Holidays as lord knows, when better to get your Holiday sparkle on right?

Urban Decay Aura Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder4

Urban Decay Aura Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder feels very much like a more sophisticated version of the long gone but forever remembered, by yours truly, Sparkling Lickable Body Powders. Remember those? I adored ’em! I had every single one including the beloved marshmallow!

This comes housed in a chunky champagne beige pink compact with dual compartments. The powder is located on top along with a mirror and a soft brush on the bottom for application. The compact is rather large and not ideal for travel but quite beautiful and vanity worthy. The brush has soft bristles and perfect for swiping across the baked surface of the powder and dusting onto your face or body!

Funny as I loved the original color but I like this shade even more! This is a delightful golden beige peach with a ton of sparkle obviously. Users beware it does have chunky particles of shimmer and a little goes a very long way so keep a light hand during application. A tiny bit on my cheeks gives a pretty ethereal glow but too much and I’m doing disco fever out the door especially in the sun! This has a finely milled texture but it also can get very powdery when I swipe a brush through it and it tends to go all over the place so again, use a lighter hand when swiping a brush through it.

I think that highlighter and sparkle palettes are such a quintessential part of Holiday makeup and Urban Decay Aura Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder is a delightful and well formulated powder that gives glistening radiance to your face and body just in time to embrace the Holiday trend!

Gorgeous!

If you loved the original you’re bound to adore this version.

It launches at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, beauty.com, and Macys in October and is available now at urbandecay.com.

I loved those lickable body powders. I think those were my very first UD products that I had in high school. I wish they’d do a special edition and bring them back -just so I could buy them all and hoard them. HAHA.

I will def. be purchasing this. It’s so pretty and I like the packaging. Would make a great holiday gift

Wow, that is pretty! And considering i like to use sparkly highlighter colors as eye shadow, this is right up my alley!
