Urban Decay Ten 24 7 Glide-On Pencil Set

The Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Pencil Set ($52) is a new eyeliner setting feature ten shades of Urban Decay’s best selling 24/7 Glide On Pencil Eyeliners in nine never before seen shades (and one very popular shade, Perversion). This launches tomorrow on Urban Decay’s website along with the Vice 3 Eyeshadow Palette and other Urban Decay Holiday 2014 goodies!

I think everyone might have a slight moment of, “Wow, I think I own ALL the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencils?” and we scurry away to count and see the shades we have. And proceed to salivate over the launch of new shades that we must own.

Ahh the life of a makeup junkie!

Urban Decay Ten Glide-On Pencil Set

The Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set has nine never been seen 0.03 oz Glide-On Eye Pencil Eyeliners and one full size Urban Decay Perversion Glide-On Eye Pencil. I’d just like to say that when Zero was included in many Urban Decay Eyeliner Sets I always groaned….but when Perversion is included, I rub my hands together in glee. It’s one of my favorite shades and I truly can’t get enough of it so another full size version? Count me happy! One day the novelty might wear off and I might end up with a drawer filled with Perversion instead of Zero but for now I say KEEP it coming!

Unfortunately there are shades here I love but they aren’t fab formula wise. For example I was so excited about Glitter Rock and Stargazer but they were a bit sheer with a drier texture. Le sigh! Voodoo is also a shade that stands out in regards to performance. This had the potential to be a bright metallic purple but the color applies weakly and seems to have some sort of odd separation issue where the pigment separates from the shimmer as I apply. On the other hand the shades without shimmer are quite creamy with an easy to apply formula that smudges out beautifully and wears well on my drier eyes but there are so few of them in this set! Although it does say something when you’re left feeling like the only shade in the set that performed AWESOMELY was a shade you already know, love, and own! I’m talking about Perversion of course.

The set does also include a double barrel sharpener as well! I got a kick out of it as printed on the cover it reads, “Sharpen your Weapons”! Cute!

Urban Decay Ten 24 7 Glide-On Pencil Set Holiday 2014

Needless to say Urban Decay has created endlessly awesome eyeliner sets in the last several years but I wouldn’t count the Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set as one. This is a very nice selection of shades but there are a few reruns and quality seems to be an issue with a good deal of shades. I did like the Black Magic 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set considerably more than this so you might wish to explore that first.

The Urban Decay Ten 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Set launches tomorrow at urbandecay.com and in October at Sephora, Sephora.com, Ulta, Ulta.com, macys.com, and beauty.com.

Their liners, for whatever reason, always wear off my eye lids! Pixi and Rimmel stay put, but not UD.

Now this is what I’m talking about! I like this set a lot more. It has a nice pop to it. Not too boring.

OMG. The first day that I saw photos of both this set and the Black Magic set online, I did exactly what you said. Checked my stash to see how many I already had and then was waiting to see if I needed the rest. Haha! Not sure I’ll be spending the $$ for this one this year if it’s disappointing though . . .

Muse, as always thank you for review with details that are very useful in helping me make purchase decisions. Being somewhat of a simpleton with eye makeup, I need an eyeliner to perform well without having to struggle with clumps, weak pigment, or separation issues with shimmer and pigment. I honestly was considering buying this set (even given that it’s not in the budget right now) because the color swatches on your hand were gorgeous and amazing – then I read the details of your review. The shades that I was the most interested in (which seem to be the ‘liner’ versions of the moondust eyeshadows) were the shades that seemed to have the most issues 🙁 So I will pass on buying. Thank you again Muse for your help.

aw thanks nikole flattered you feel that way! my pleasure and I’m sorry this disappointed you but don’t worry! the holidays are on the way and plenty of brands will do sparkly liner sets 🙂 so you’ll find something to love I just know it!

This kit looks nice, I remember last year they came out with a eye shadow, or eye liner set and it was like $275! This is the perfect size, you would definitely use all of these shades. Decent price, when you consider how much they are separately.

I just ordered this and the Vice 3 palette. Can’t wait to play with my new UD goodies when they get here

Your swatches look better than the ones I’ve seen so far. That gives hope 😉
