Wen Fall Tuscan Pear Cleansing Conditioner Review

Wen Fall Tuscan Pear Cleansing Conditioner

Wen Fall Tuscan Pear Cleansing Conditioner is the newest fragrance that Wen launched for Fall 2014. As a lover of last year’s Fall Apple Spice I must admit I was excited about the launch of the Fall Tuscan Pear Cleansing Conditioner and ordered it immediately when it launched on QVC.

The Wen Fall Tuscan Pear Cleansing Conditioner actually disappointed me. Since it is a Fall scented I thought it would be warmer with a hint of spice but this is a light, crisp slightly sweet pear fragrance. It kinda reminded me of cucumber on some levels….! Le sigh! I dunno why but I just assumed they might add a bit of warmth to the fragrance. Released as a Summer fragrance I might have raved it but as a Fall one I was a little disappointed.

On the upside I am happy with the formula. Sometimes I find that the seasonal fragrances are a little heavier and don’t rinse out well but this had a nice thick, creamy consistency that still washed easily out of my hair without any fuss.

If you’ve never a cleansing conditioner they are fab for longer wavy or curly, drier hair types. Simply wet your hair, pump two to five pumps into your hands, smooth it into your hair and use a wide tooth comb if possible to comb it through your locks. Now leave it in for five to ten minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water! And you’re done! No need to shampoo as the cleansing conditioner acts to cleanse and condition hair. I do find cleansing conditioners add a good deal of build up to hair so you’ll want to clarify hair at the end of the week to detox hair and rinse away silicones!

All in all I thought Went Fall Tuscan Pear a little uneventful but the good news is that QVC also brought back Fall Apple Spice and Ginger Pumpkin which were two great fragrances for Fall so if I review didn’t really excite you about the pear you can at the least indulge in the other fragrances which I did love!

Tried Fall Tuscan Pear?

What did you think?

I purchased this item.

You say four to five pumps, but I’ve heard 16 pumps, which has always made me think it would be so expensive! Plus, it only takes 3 pumps of aveda conditioner to cover my massive amounts of hair. Also, they say to do it twice, so the expense and time!

What’s a girl to do?!? I want to try it because I have dry, wavy hair so I feel like it could be great, but I have all those concerns. (Plus, I did catch, like, all the QVC thing on it last week, and I was so freaking close to ordering.)

“You say four to five pumps, but I’ve heard 16 pumps, which has always made me think it would be so expensive!”

The number of pumps also depends on the size of the bottle. The 32-oz bottle (pictured) has a longer, wider pump, so 4-5 pumps from that is 8-12 pumps from a 16-oz bottle.

I like the Fall Tuscan Pear scent, but I agree, the light, crisp scent seems more like a Spring or Summer scent than a fall scent. Fall Ginger Pumpkin is still my favorite “fall in a bottle” scent.

even on the smaller bottle I typically do five pumps…I find 12 too much! eep! agreed! It’s nice but uneventful for Fall! I wish they had done a spicy pear for Fall, that would have been lovely 😀 I really like the pumpkin as well, it’s quite lovely 😀

I am a HUGE fan of Fall Apple Spice, it smells like fall in a bottle to me. I have to say I had no idea what to expect with Fall Tuscan Pear CC, but I LOVE it! 😍 I am the first to say I have no idea what the smell of a fresh cut pear has to do with fall, but I don’t care I love it that much! I love that it is just a tad lighter consistency than Summer Honey Peach CC but really does not leave my hair any less moisturized. It just seems to rinse out more like the rice based formulas of WEN.
I have long hair, falls in the small of my back at the moment, it is straight as an arrow, fine in texture, but I have a lot hair so it is thick in that aspect. I have used WEN since December 2009 and I do use it as directed for my length of hair and have wonderful results (I guess it was probably obvious or why would I keep using it, LOL)! I don’t have any issues with buildup on my hair or scalp, but everyone is different. 😊 If anyone ever want to ask me anything about how I use WEN, like how often I cleanse my hair, what formulas I like most, and so on… I am happy to share what works for me and what does not. 😊

LOL… 😄 Well my dear, you are the guru of all things beauty! 💄 💅
Always happy to share and help when I can. ☺️

I appreciate all the info! I think I may order it from sephora to give it a go since if you order it straight from him you’re put on auto delivery, which I can’t commit to from day one.

I’m really hopeful, though, as my hair is insane (to me).

    • Isabella Muse

no problem! 🙂 oh on qvc you won’t be out on auto delivery, that’s an option only! but with sephora it’s a nicer option as $50 will get you free shipping 😀 oh girl we all feel that way about our hair 😀

Hi Sara… Actually ordering straight from Chaz (www.chazdean.com) will not put you on auto delivery, but ordering from Guthy Renker does put you on auto delivery (www.wen.com). I usually just order from QVC because the value in the kits and in comparison to shopping at http://www.chazdean.com is just less expensive and I like to save money. 😄
Just to clarify one tiny detail too, the ingredients in the Guthy Renker and Sephora WEN that is sold is a tiny bit different from what you get from http://www.chazdean.com and http://www.qvc.com so that they comply with shipping and sales outside of the US. It is not a huge deal, but just an FYI if it matters to you or anyone. 😊
