Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette is one of seven, limited edition Wet n Wild Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes that launched for Fall 2014 in the new Wet n Wild Enchanting Halloween Looks Collection!

Considering Wet n Wild has just recently released a Fall 2014 round up of Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes I think it came as a surprise they launched several more. Also the Fall 2014 ones that came prior to these Halloween ones were quite decently formulated as on the original release of the 5 Pan Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes I failed to be impressed!

Mmm…well so far from what I’ve seen from the Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette and a few others I picked up it looks like we reverted back to the original formula. Not good!

Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette is a mix of darkened black shades with a semi-matte finish and larger particles of shimmer. You might recall back in 2010 the Bobbi Brown Black Velvet Collection launched and I swear this palette so reminded me of that collection. Each shade is a blackened version of green, red, blue, and purple which in theory sounds divine for sultry or spooky looks. Unfortunately, the only shade I liked here was the blackened green which had a nice velvety texture. The other shades were very, very dry and lacking in pigment. They also were difficult to tell apart as most of them swatched and applied as a shimmering black. So if you’re wanting to contrast with these colors it is a bit difficult as they end up all looking very smoky and you can’t define between shades.

Unfortunately, Wet n Wild Daring Downtown Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette wasn’t formulated so great. This one feels like a skip to me!
