Wet n Wild Venice Vixen Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Wet n Wild Venice Vixen Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette is one of seven, limited edition 5 Pan Coloricon Eyeshadow Palettes released with the Enchanting Halloween Looks by Wet n Wild for Fall 2014.

So far I’ve had hit or miss experiences with this palettes. I’m like the All Access Beauty Coloricon Fall 2014 Palettes much better in all honesty!

How was Venice Vixen?

Not great! Three of the five shades in the Wet n Wild Venice Vixen Coloricon Eyeshadow Palette were decent enough. There’s a pure white base that’s quite powdery but still wearable with a good deal of fall out. Both the lid and definer shades were fairly pigmented with a velvety texture and a smooth application. However, there are two mattes in this palette and personally I find Wet n Wild Coloricon Palettes with matte shadows are a no go for me. Don’t get me wrong as Wet n Wild has released some nice single Coloricon Eyeshadows that have a very smooth, silky texture. But the matte shadows that appear in both the 5 and 3 pan Coloricon Palettes are typically very dry and difficult to blend. They also happen to stain lids in a major way yak!

You can definately work around the mattes as if you apply them and they are as patchy as they are for me you can easily buff a bit of the shimmery/velvety shades on top to make them workable. But I just find that a little too much work….!

If you’re shopping this new Coloricon Palettes now I do think Venice Vixen is a skip! The quality just isn’t there.

And P.S. Using a light aqua for a brow bone highlighter? Really Wet n Wild when will you stop recommending these crazy shades for brow bone highlighting? We are not Mimi!
