Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour Eyeshadow

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour are a new range of permanent cream eyeshadows that launches this past Fall which intrigued me. I happen to really like cream shadows because they are so no nonsense for quick eye looks plus they always look like you spent hours applying them when in fact you spend like 30 seconds applying them.

Thing is the Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour formula doesn’t come cheap These bad boys will set you back $36 per shade, are they worth it?

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour

Dolce & Gabbana Perfect Mono Cream Eye Colour is one of those really easy to apply formulas that looks incredibly smooth and perfect no matter how little time you take applying. You just can’t screw these up and that’s something you really have to love about the formula.

Each shadow comes housed in an elegant glass jar with a gold cap. It’s a very simple yet chic packaging that isn’t too flashy. From what I’ve seen of the shades they are all really wearable and should work for many different skin tones. The very nice part about them is they are idea for aging eyes. So if you have drier eyes, finer lines, or even crepiness this is a formula that will work for you. The texture in the jar looks very dense but once you swipe it you’ll find it’s quite soft. I applied with my trusty Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow Brush as these aren’t something you’ll want to dip into with a finger. The formula blends like a dream. No heaviness, not too creamy, not too rich but a nice thin texture that feels very silky as you apply. They smooth on so easily without tugging. Honestly, I felt like I didn’t even have to do much of anything…it practically applies itself! I noticed it doesn’t set too quickly nor does it stay creamy for too long…it meets somewhere in the middle giving you plenty of time to play between it finally dries down. On the dry down I’d say it looks more like a powder than a cream. The color is softly focused with a sheer yet pretty tinted finish. I only purchased one shade which was Desert which in the jar is a sandy dune color but applies goes a bit darker and taupe-ish. The wear went well for me and didn’t fade or crease for a solid nine hours and removed easily at the end of my night.

Sometimes simplicity is nice. This is a super elegant eyeshadow that’s simple yet utterly elegant with a no nonsense, no know how easy to apply formula. Do I wish it was cheaper? Sure…but I’ll indulge in further shades because the formula is outstanding!

These look fabulous. I just returned three cream eyeshadows back to Smashbox because they felt dry, but I would like to give this one a try.

As pretty as it looks, i just couldn’t spend that much on a single eyeshadow when for like 5 bucks more i could get another lorac pro palette and have infinite eye looks at my disposal. Sigh, i will never know the magic of a $35 eyeshadow.

Super pretty, heard nothing but good things about these and their new skincare line which is also pricey.
Glad they carry these at Sephora, because there isn’t a Nordstrom’s nearby where I live.

hmm not really those are pretty shimmering with a sponge-y texture. These are quite different 🙂

  • Lulle

My experience with them (from swatching, I haven’t bought one yet but plan to) is that the pearl shades are gorgeous, but the mattes are very sheer and settle into lines. I really didn’t like the look of the mattes at all.

I didn’t have an issue with this one at all but I haven’t tried a ton of shades so maybe I’d feel the same Lulle! This one I love though and kinda want to get another shade because of it 🙂 did you swatch on eye or just your hand?!

Isabella Muse, what are you wearing on your lips and cheeks in the photos above? They look amazing!
