Bohemian Soul Etude House

The Etude House Bohemian Soul Fantastic Color Eyes is a new six pan eyeshadow palette that launched for Fall 2014. I’m a big fan of Etude House’s Eyeshadow Palettes so I was happy to grab up one of the two shades available in the Fantastic Color Eyes Collection!

Let’s take a look!

Etude House Bohemian Soul Eyes

Etude House Bohemian Soul Fantastic Color Eyes Eyeshadow Palette is the warmer of the two palettes released with this collection. I believe both palettes are limited edition so if you want them best grab them up now!

The palette comes housed in a small brown compact and features a dual sided sponge tip applicator for application. There are six shadows in the palette one of which doubles up as a cream eyeshadow, blush, or lipstick! The eyeshadows are available in a range of finishes giving you the option to go with a matte or sparkly look. There are two loosely packed, chunky shimmer shadows, two matte shades, one cream shadow, and one satin shadow. Out of the two sparkle shades only one is pigmented! Gypsy Queen which is a soft golden champagne shade lacks pigment but works fantastic as an overshadow. Wonderlust, a coppery bronze, is the most pigmented and works well on its own or as an over shadow. I felt the two mattes were a little drier in texture but still applied quite well but looked best with a bit of the sparkly shadows on top since they were sheerer. Freedom, a dark chocolate brown, was the best shade in the palette. This shade had a very rich texture with a velvety feel and excellent pigmentation! Apricot Jam is the cream shadow…I didn’t particularly like it on my eyes or my lips but it does have a very creamy, easy to blend texture that looks incredible on cheeks! I think on my eyes it looks nice and works well as a base but fades a good deal so I didn’t really love it applied on my lids.

The palette is actually fantastic and I’m quite happy with it. I like how well the colors mix and match together! I can apply the darker tan matte shade called Folk Song to my inner eye and contrast using the darker chocolate brown of Freedom! If I wanna spice up that look I can get a little bit of the shimmery Gypsy Queen! I can use Apricot Jam as a base and apply Ethic Coral on top with a bit of Gypsy Queen on top for a tropical eye! Or I can do the look I did below which is Freedom on my lids and Wanderlust applied on top for a sparkly bronze-y brown Fall look! These shades just mix and match very well!
