Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm

Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm was one of several products that came in my Memebox Special #39 Cafe Box that I recently posted an unboxing of. As a fond fan of Holika Holika I was happy to get a new lip balm I hadn’t yet tried from the brand and a cute one to boot!

Holika Holika Desert Time Lip Balm

The Holika Holika Dessert Time Lip Balm is available in three flavors, I got the Red Cupcake strawberry flavored and scented one! At a glance this doesn’t look like a strawberry cupcake to me but more like a fancy English tea tart! It has a creamy frosting and cute little strawberries decking the top of the container. Inside I had a fleetingly moment of disappointment as the balm looked quite dense (NYX used to have lip balms like this available, they might still, but the formula was quite dense)! Happily enough it’s actually a very emollient lip balm with a soft texture that adds a ton of moisture to lips as well as a shiny finish and just a hint of rosy tint!

I must admit it kinda tastes like what I imagine a Strawberry Shortcake doll might taste like if you licked her head or something! Haha! It’s not a very natural strawberry flavor but still pleasant none the less!

Unfortunately, many will not love the fact you have to apply with a finger (I can relate) which makes this an not so travel friendly lip balm option! None the less the formula is divine with a soft, moisturizing texture that feels lovely on my lips through the two to three hour wear. Plus the added glossy finish and hint of tint make this little sweet lip balm a very nice pick up!

wow, that really has a lot of color for a balm – it looks JUICY! lol
I loved this type of container when I was a kit. I remember one of my favorites was from Avon and it was a strawberry. It had clear gloss on one side and frosted gloss on the other (if I remember correctly).

Thanks for the review and photos – I thought about buying it from RoseRoseShop recently (they have the whole range, and decided not to. Next time I purchase, I will definitely have to throw it in the cart as well! Sounds good enough to eat.
