Lorac The Royal Lip Lustre Creme Set Holiday 2014

Lorac The Royal Lip Lustre Creme Set ($25) is a limited edition Lorac Holiday 2014 Set that contains six shades of Lorac Lip Lustre Creme Lipglosses weighting at 0.11 oz each. If you look back through my archives you’ll find a set of Lorac Holiday Lipglosses for every year since like 2010 or perhaps even 2009! Every single year I buy one because fact is, they are fabulous! This year I believe there are three different sets available from HSN, Kohls, and Ulta that each have exclusive shades so you have a good deal of a variety across sets.

I have the Lorac The Royal Lip Lustre Creme Set that contains the following shades and is available on Lorac’s website:

  • Empress (Exclusive Shade) (Pink Mauve)
  • Princess (Exclusive Shade (Pink)
  • Enchanted (Exclusive Shade) (Peach Nude)
  • Reign (Berry)
  • Crown Jewel (Cherry Red)
  • Tiara (Nude)

These shades are all cream finishes sans any sparkle or glitter so if you aren’t really a shimmer kinda gal or guy you’ll love on these. I find the formula has a super smooth application with a plush, gel-like consistency that hugs lips beautifully and wears for around three hours without migrating of feather. The texture is really lovely with a jelly-like feel that’s moist, shiny, and every so slightly sticky but not uncomfortably tacky. They have a light sugary taste that’s quite pleasant but if you’re sensitive the fragrance might not be appealing to you. One of the nicest thing about the glosses is the fact they have quite nice pigmentation especially the darker shades which apply opaque on a single application! These have a lip brush for application which I love as it allows you to easily build the gloss. The brush is soft, doesn’t split, and applies color in a smooth, even layer! I actually prefer this brush over a sponge applicator and believe it is part of the reason the glosses look so amazing on lips!

Needless to say I adore the Lorac The Royal Lip Lustre Creme Set and can’t recommend it enough for purchase. This a fabulously formulated lipgloss collection that has plenty of gorgeous shades to choose from in generous sizes with a formula that’s shiny, comfortable to wear, and easy to apply.

What’s not to love?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I had another coupon for ulta but didn’t pick these up. Hmm… maybe I should have. I did get the royal eye shadow collection from ulta and the colors are really nice.

These sets are such a great deal. This will be the fifth or sixth year in a row I’ve bought one. And three to choose from! I had already decided to go with this one, but your review sealed the deal for me.
