Mark Eye Dream of Glam Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette for Holiday 2014

Mark Eye Dream of Glam Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette

How pretty is this new Mark Eye Dream of Glam Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette for Holiday 2014? But ouchie on the price tag…..!

P.S. It reminds me of a much cheaper palette I already own!

Take a look, you’ll see what I mean!

The Mark Eye Dream of Glam Ultimate Eye Shadow Palette ($40) is a new, limited edition eyeshadow palette (the first of its kind from Mark) featuring 16 shades of marbleized eyeshadows with a luminous metallic finish.

Does anyone remember the Jesse’s Girl Baked Powder Eye Shadow Palette? This quite reminds me of it!

The Jesse’s Girl Palette was $5.99 so I am cringing mentally at the $40 price tag on Mark’s version.

Wonder if it’s any good?

It’s available now at www.avon.com.

Thoughts?

omg Mark… Who have you become?! Lol this looks so funky, almost outer space themed. I wonder what the swatches will end up looking like. Thanks for the heads up! Xx

I ordered it as soon as I saw it but I haven’t had a chance to try the shadows yet. Should I update when I do?

the baked nature of it actually also looks like the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic palette, which is awesome!

The best thing about the fall is that you can try lots of make up scenarios. almost any combination you come up with is fair game.. I feel like I can get away with alot of experimenting! lol

Lol when you mentioned the cheaper palette I was wondering if you were gonna say Jessies Girl…I have that palette too and think it’s beautiful…I’ll have to bring it out and give it some love, especially every time I think I should buy this palette because it looks cool haha but I have to agree with the price…Mark is glorified Avon aimed at a younger crowd…I would have expected $20 maybe but $40? Nah Add a few more dollars and pick almost any palette you want at Sephora!

agreed ashley! a few more bucks and you can get something from a mid-range brand at Sephora and in some cases that $40 might even get you a palette and you’ll have change left over. So yeah, mark def has to consider their pricing ouchie!

I hadn’t seen the Jessie’s Girl palette, but coincidentally I got a single of Jessie’s Girl baked eyeshadow in my Ipsy bag yesterday. I definitely liked the formula, so I just picked up the whole palette on Amazon for $7! Super excited I was still able to find it, it wasn’t on the Jessie’s Girl website. I’ve been wanting the BH Galaxy palette since I got a sample of that eye shadow from Ipsy. This will fill the void! The Mark one is definitely out of my price range. I just dropped $50 on Urban Decay to get the Full Frontal lipstick set, a double pack of Primer Potion, and my free 24/7 eyeliner (Ether) from a birthday month code.

$40 is ridiculous! I have a smaller nudish palette (12 shades maybe? )from mark that is really good and I think it was $16 when I bought it… always received compliments when wearing it. But, after that one, the palettes just haven’t been as wearable in my opinion.

Muse, this palette is absolutely amazing! You know I love to demo products before recommending anything to my customers and this was one that I had to try. The biggest thing that I wanted to see was whether it was worth the $40 price tag. It is super creamy and the pigment is just amazing. It is absolutely stunning to look at and it’s quite a good size. You can use them wet or dry and they lasted all day. Many customers picked it up as a gift for true beauty lovers who would not only appreciate using it but also who would appreciate the uniqueness of each marbleized shade. I hope you get to try it. 🙂
