Peripera Disney Frozen Watery Face Pride Up is a BB Cushion Foundation that launched with the Peripera Disney Frozen Makeup Collection in Korean a few months ago. I even forgot I had purchased the Peripera Disney Frozen Makeup Collection! I recently was digging in my review bin and at the bottom was this collection. Well duh!
I admit the sole purpose of my purchase of the Peripera Disney Frozen Watery Face Pride Up was the packaging.
Peripera Disney Frozen Watery Face Pride Up is a traditional cushion makeup the likes I’ve which we’ve started to see here in the US from brands like Mally Beauty, It Cosmetics, and Pur Minerals. This is basically a sponge which is saturated with a BB Cream, fluid or cream foundation. You press the sponge with your finger to release the foundation or use the included sponge to apply the makeup (I recommend using a sponge or brush as it is more hygienic versus touching the sponge to apply).
Obviously the packaging is the big draw considering I have literally dozens of cushion makeups in my drawer at the moment and have no need for more. Several months ago Etude House introduced Cinderella and Minnie Mouse Cushion Cases which I also purchased but I admit Frozen was a bigger drawer. This is case is adorable. It features a beautiful print of Elsa on the box and the compact. The compact is a pure white with a sparkling of different shades of blue and purple shimmer. Since I don’t like the formula of the Watery Face makeup (I’ll get to that in a second) I’m happy to report you can easily pop out the cushion and replace it with one you do like. In this case, I popped out the Peripera one and popped it my It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation.
Peripera Disney Frozen Watery Face Pride Up was released in two shade selections and although the formula was quite ok for me it was the shades that made me dislike it. I got the darker shade which was 2 Vanilla Beige and although sheer it’s still very pasty on my skin and not a good match at all. If it is a match for you, I think you’ll find the formula quite nice. This is a more of a fluid cushion makeup with a lighter texture that’s a lot less creamier than products like Etude House Mineral Any Cushion. It has a watery feel and applies easily onto my drier skin. It’ll ease redness, brighten, and provides sheer coverage that wears for about two hours without setting but will wear longer when set with powder at around four hours. It does have a fresh floral fragrance so if you’re sensitive just beware!
Although the shade isn’t quite right for me I don’t regret the purchase of the Peripera Disney Frozen Watery Face Pride Up as it’s easy enough to refill. A friend of mine got this for me in Korea, I think it was like 14 bucks? Quite a few E-bay and online shops have it available for $20 to $30….this is a little high so if you think the shade isn’t suitable for you and you can’t get it at a lower price (just because you want the case) you might want to explore other options such as the cases Etude House released which are fairly cheaper.
