Pur Minerals Light Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact Foundation Review & Swatches

Yup, it’s true! Pur Minerals has a new Cushion Foundation! Pur Minerals Light Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact Foundation ($30) gets a late Fall 2014 release and will be apart of the permanent Pur Minerals Collection in three different shade selections.

Those who have oily skin will like this formula as it provides a smooth, matte finish that’s very lightweight and wearable.

Pur Minerals Light Air Perfection CC Cushion Compact Foundation comes housed in a chunky white compact that features a dual lid compartment and rubber sponge for application. Opening the first lid will reveal a mirror and the puff which sets on another lid that opens to reveal the foundation cushion. The compact has a dual lid so that cushion won’t dry up as I’m sure you have already tried cushion makeup before and are more than familiar with this style packaging.

One thing to note is the foundation has a floral fragrance which sensitive skin might not love so do sniff it in store prior to purchase if you’re a sensitive user. I find the texture is similar to the matte powdery set to that Etude House Lock n� Summer Precious Mineral Proof Any Cushion but with a thinner more easy to wear formula. This is a creamy thin liquid that blends easily on my drier skin and sets to a soft, smooth semi-matte finish. It builds easily enough and offers sheerer to semi-medium coverage with a lightly hydrating texture as you apply and a smoother matte finish as it sets on skin. Although it is promoted as being loaded with hydrating benefits I don’t find it incredibly moisturizing for my drier skin but I think it might be more suitable for a oily skin type since it’s light hydrating and doesn’t create shine or oily! The texture is considerably thicker than the liquid fluid you get from the It Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation but around the same formula, a little thinner than, Mally Poreless Perfection Fluid Foundation. It’s very light, very comfortable, and quite flawless in finish with a soft, even look that doesn’t accentuate drier areas.

This one will likely be set away for Summer when my skin is a bit more shiny and oily but all in all I’m loving the flawless look in provides! The formula is quite lovely and blends out easily giving a picture perfect finish that’s breathable and natural. Needless to say as cushion makeup gains ground here in the US brands are really doing well with the formula!
