Sephora 20% Coupon Code for the VIB Holiday Shopping Event!

My sister got her Sephora 20% Coupon Code for the VIB Holiday Shopping Event invite literally just this very second! Yesterday, I posted news on the Sephora 20% Off Friends and Family Sale for Rouge and VIB members with dates that Sephora’s Affiliate’s program provided me with but just wanted to update this with further info!

According to the invite the promo code for use online to take 20% off your total at Sephora.com will be GIFTROUGE for Rouge Members and VIB members can use GIFTVIB which can be used on any order from November 6th until November 10th (Early shopping event takes place no November 5th). There’s also a one time use code for a friend which can be used in store from November 6th to November 10th however, your friend must be with you at the time of purchase.

You must be a Rouge VIB member to use the GIFTROUGE and VIB members can use the GIFTVIB promo code.

The invite includes a card which can be used for in store purchases at Sephora US, Sephora Canada, or inside JC Penny Sephora stores.

    Wait, I’m confused. You say “You must be a Rouge VIB member to use the GIFTROUGE and GIFTVIB promo code.”

    But I’m assuming you have to be Rouge to use GIFTROUGE and VIB to use GIFTVIB. Correct? Just checking because I’m not VIB Rouge – I’m a lowly VIB. 😉

    If you RSVP to the event will you still get another coupon for use online and in store?

      no, you get one in the mail for yourself, one to share with a friend (or use for yourself) and the code which can be used endless times. There isn’t another card they give you just for rsvping.

    I can’t wait to get my invite from Sephora (I’m VIB only, so I’m thinking it will come a little later?)! There’s so much stuff I need to get this year! PS: is it like the years before where they would also send an email as well? I don’t think I’ve ever had Sephora send me this VIB coupon before, only emailed to me 🙁

      I assume yes, seems logical to send both via email and snail mail but I haven’t gotten an ecard yet or even a snail mail one!

    I haven’t receive anything yet. I am a VIB in Canada. Do you know if I can shop in-store or if I don’t receive anything I only can get the discount using the code online? It will be the same code for everybody right?

    So my understanding is the only way you can do this sale is if you receive a card in the mail like the one above??

      No, no! If you’re a VIB or VIB Rouge you can use the promos online. If you’re just a Beauty Insider though, you would need your VIB/Rouge friend to give you their extra card.

    I tried to register for the event I became a Rouge member last week but it won’t let me sign up! the error message I’m getting is: “Your entry doesn’t match any of our VIB Rouge members. Please try again.” Am I the only one getting this? :'(

    Gosh I forgot about the sale in November 🙁 I ordered a whole bunch of stuff a couple of weeks ago (the Hourglass blush palette of course as it said you could only by it online) but there is still a couple of things I would like for sure. Haven’t received anything in an email so far and will check my mailbox today, I am a VIB Rouge so from what I’ve read I have to go to the store on Nov 5th? or I guess online. For Chen B: I had to write some nasty emails to Sephora before they finally changed me to VIB Rouge as I had the same problem. They finally just settled my account which peed me off to no end because all those months that I could have had free shipping and bonuses etc. I had to send my membership # as I got my card in the store. I really find that the online/Beauty Adviser site is a mess when it comes to stuff like that so thank god I do alot of my Sephora shopping in-store. Sorry for the last rant Isabella, I am so glad I found your blog etc 🙂

    Karen M: I understand your frustration with Sephora. I should be upgraded since August as a VIB, but because of their system error (the most expensive product I bought out of 3 did not register for some reason) they had to register the points manually when I noticed that. And because they did it by hand, my status was not updated automatically and now they are reviewing it, even though it was all their own fault. I takes more than 2 weeks to do so. I am not a happy bunny, that’s for sure and I will miss this sale. Grrrrr.

    Do you know if the enforce having your VIB friend present? I’m just a regular BI and my VIB friend in a different state gave me her buddy pass. Do you know how that would work?

      depends on the sales person I would guess. Maybe if they are nice they’ll let you use it? not sure.

    Unfortunately, I live much too far away from Sephora so I’m forced to shop at Ulta. My newest obsession is Dior Airflash which was 1st introduced to me by the gal who did my wedding makeup. Now, I’m completely hooked!! Sadly, Ulta does not carry Dior. I am not at VIB status at Sephora so I was not one of the fortunate ones to receive a 20% off coupon. Is there anyway I can get my little hands on a 20% “friend” code? I had planned on placing my order online. Thank you in advance for any advice you can share.

    I called and as long as your status is VIB, you dont need the email or the physical mail piece to get the discount. I’m VIB and I just got the email today. Talk about last minute !

      I still have yet to receive the email. I wonder if it’s even worth calling customer service about it because I read on Temptalia that Sephora is not responsible for lost coupons..and I had a $100 gift card to use there :((

      you have to spend $1000 in a year’s time at sephora to become a Rouge member and I believe VIBs must spend $500 dollars in a year and that will get you the membership.

    The 20% off is great, but I def have a gripe that you can only use one promo code and have to choose either that 8 piece sample set or the 20% off. I understand that you can’t use multiple promo codes to get multiple items, but I feel like it’s unfair to have to choose between the 20% off or deluxe samples 🙁 Also, and just a warning, I’ve had an impossible time getting on the site pretty much all day, and the few times I’ve finally gotten it still crashes! Guess everyone has the same plan today 🙂

    This isn’t actually a sale as they have upped all of their prices on their website by approximately 20% since yesterday (which amounts to about what you would normally pay in the store to cover overhead etc.). I was going to buy a Clarisonic with the 20% ‘discount’, and when I looked online yesterday the Mia2 was $145CAD – when I looked this morning, the exact same thing was $180CAD. They are just trying to make you think that you are getting a deal – sneaky buggers!

      i can’t see anything that went up in price from yesterday until today at sephora.com Cookie. Everything is priced as it always is!? But maybe something is up with the Canada site, US one I am not seeing any price increases.

    I’m so bummed, they took away my coupon and claimed it was a one-time use, mine wasn’t. I didn’t hand them the one time use card, i gave them the one that could be used multiple times 🙁

    I didn’t receive mine via mail or email 🙁 they gave me a number to call and girl said we will have more sales. Geez think i will shop at mac and ulta from now on. Vib means nothing if you dint get notified if the 1 sale a year.
