Shara Shara Sugar Lip Scrub

I got this Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub in recent Memebox My Cute Wish List 3 Beauty Box. I’m almost as addicted to lip scrubs as I am to lip balms so I was happy to get this in my box! Memebox doesn’t actually sell it but I’m sure at some point they will. But a quick search and you can find it easy enough on E-bay for $5-$6 if you’d like to buy it after this review.

Shara Shara is a Korean brand I’ve featured in the past with quite cute doll packaging. As you can see the little tin the scrub comes in features a sweet little doll-like image!

Let’s take a peek!

Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub

Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub uses a base of walnut peel and sugar. You can rub it gently onto your lips and use tissue it off after. It does a fine job of scrubbing awake flakes and giving lips a very smooth appearance. I tend to get flaky lips and this whisks my flaky, dry areas away and replaces it with a nice, smooth lip area. It’s a gritty scrub which I like because it does a good job scrubbing my dry lips! If you’re sensitive just use a little to avoid making your lips raw.

I did not like the taste though! I’m so used to using Lush Lip Scrubs or Sara Happ Lip Scrub and being spoiled with yummy flavored scrubs I ended up not liking this. First it doesn’t taste like anything but as you scrub it starts to take on a floral flavor which wasn’t terribly appealing to me.

I’ll def use it up because I like the formula but I doubt I’ll repurchase Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub because I just didn’t love the flavor on this one…!

Tried it?

I had exactly the same take on this – it was a solid formula but the perfumey smell and lack of flavor were both less than awesome; not bad enough to toss it out but definitely not recommended.

agreed Aunty! wouldn’t throw it out because it is a very nicely formulated scrub but wouldn’t rebuy it!
