Tarte Chic to Cheek Holiday Blush Set

The Tarte Chic to Cheek Deluxe Amazonian Clay Blush Set ($35) is a new limited edition blush set that contains Amour, Classic, Prim, and Daydream Amazonian Clay Blush shades. The nicest thing about the Tarte Chic to Cheek Amazonian Clay Blush Set is its uniqueness. You run across plenty of Holiday Lipgloss Sets, plenty of Makeup Brush Sets, and of course, plenty of palettes but it’s a rarity brands are releasing a blush set! Especially one that contains individual shades that aren’t bound up in a palette!

So, if you’re a blush girl or guy, I’m sure you’ll want to snatch up the Tarte Chic to Cheek Amazonian Clay Blush Set!

Shades include:

  • Amour (candy pink)
  • Classic (soft apricot pink)
  • Prim (plum nude)
  • Daydream (rosy pink)

These blushes weight in at 0.05 oz each and come in a slightly smaller compact than their the standard 0.2 compact. The main differences in packaging is that these do not have a mirror unfortunately but I never use the mirror anyway so no big deal! These also feature a pretty gold vine and floral motif on the upper lid of the compact.

The blush formula is just as great as the large sizes with a smooth, pigmented finish and a slight dense yet easy to blend powder formula that wears and wears and wears. That’s the finest point of Tarte’s Amazonian Blush formula, the truly fantastic strong wear! I’ve never noticed any issues with the mini sizes compared to the larger ones and feel the formula is exactly the same with excellent blendability, a great texture, and a super wear.

The shades includes are not ones that are available in the permanent collection but I imagine one or two might be a slight dupe for shades already released (I didn’t check my stash for dupes so I’m just assuming). I don’t necessarily mind as using them I didn’t notice any that were a spot on dupe for other shades I personally own.

The smaller size compacts are always put to question as sometimes reader’s will ask, “Well is it awkward getting a brush into those smaller pans?” Not at all! I never had a problem fitting both smaller and large brushes into the wells of these.

The set is an excellent intro to Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes if you don’t already own some or perfect for Tarte fans looking to extend their collection of blushes!

And of course, it’ll make a very cute gift!

It’s available now at tartecosmetics.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I wish you would reply my answer too….. I already got the cheeky but dont know should get this one also.

    Hi Muse,

I love these mini blushes, but they are actually only a QUARTER of the size of a regular full size blush, not half as you said. These are .05 and a full size is .2, so you’re actually getting the same amount of blush you get in the full size, BUT these are $10 more expensive.

Lovely colors but not very good bang for your buck 🙁

You may have already been contacted on this, but this is, unfortunately, not a great deal. Each is .o5 oz, so 1/4 of a full-sized. This is what stopped me from picking this up recently. It’s nice that you get 4 colors, but the volume is not as great. I don’t need this comment approved, but thought you’d like to know.

I’m really loving this set. Great shades. Computer doesn’t do them justice. My only very minor beef would be I find the compacts a little hard to open.

Hii Muse. I always enjoy your thorough reviews and updates you bring to us! These blushes are 0.05 ounces making them a quarter size of a full size blush (which is 0.20 ounces). I just wanted to correct that point. So basically we are paying $35 for one full size blush vs the original $26 for one full size blush. But this is an amazing set! I love it!

    • Isabella Muse

it’s already been corrected 🙂 sorry wrote the post super early in the AM not sure where my mind was.

  • Hanusia

These look great! How do you think this set compares to the set of 4 blushes Tarte released on QVC last year? The colors look like they might be similar.

  • CC

Not that big actually matters to me at all, but aren’t these 1/4 the size of the full size? It’s 3:30 in the morning, so I could be totally off here :). Also, have you noticed the blushes in general being more powdery than normal? I have found this with all of my newer blushes including the Sephora palette. Thanks Muse!

    • Isabella Muse

don’t mind me because 4am is around when I wrote it haha so yeah you’re right 😀 my pleasure! no…they are quite dense not powdery at all thank god as I dislike powdery blushes!

I actually pulled out my (considerable) collection of tarte blushes to check for dupes. There weren’t any! Only one was even close (I want to say the nude one was kinda close to another LE one…). Idk how Tarte does it! As long as they keep the shades fresh, I’ll keep buying the sets! lol Although my Tarte blushes may eventually need their own drawer… 😉

    • Isabella Muse

I am very happy to hear it Kaitlyn 🙂 haha mine too don’t feel bad!

I LOVE this set! Admittedly I am obsessed with tarte blushes, and yes I know this set isn’t the greatest value but I rationalize it by thinking A) unique/limited edition colors, B) it will take forever to get through an actual blush because they are so nicely pigmented, and C) (most importantly) I love the colors! 🙂

  • Katherine T.

I have this set and totally LOVE LOVE it — every color is universally flattering, and the color families are well represented – pink, plum, nude, peach/coral. And it’s so lightweight and portable – I can just pop one in my purse. Yes, you might get less product, but you get 4 shades and the Tarte Blushes are so pigmented and long-lasting that you only need a small amount, so each one will still last you forever !!

I got this set and totally LOVE LOVE it! All 4 colors are universally flattering, and you can just pop one in your purse. And even if the size is smaller, it’s still a very generous size, and the blushes are so pigmented that each one will last forever!

  • Ellie

I love this set. The blushes are so cute! I almost passed because it’s not the best value but I actually love the mini sizes. I also got the blush palette but I think I like the colors in this set more and I love that they are travel friendly! The palette is so bulky! Thanks for another great review Muse!

Do you remember if sets like these became available at ulta or sephora or if they were exclusive to tarte.com?
