Banila Co Prime Primer

Banila Co Prime Primer Classic is a silicone facial primer that recently came in my Memebox Banila Co Superbox. It couldn’t come at a better time since the one I currently have is nearing an end. I mostly rely on Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer or Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector but when I want a more polished looks I tend to use Banila Co Prime Primer.

I have drier skin so I prefer silicone-free primers as they tend to be more hydrating for me and also silicone primers just pill on my skin or they feel itchy. But I have a few exceptions and Prime Primer is one.

Banila Co Prime Primer Classic

Banila Co Prime Primer is a lot like Smashbox Photo Finish in some aspects but the consistency is clearer and has a bit of slickness with less thickness to it. It applied easily on skin with a slick glide but don’t let that slick silicone texture fool you because it does effect have a nice matte finish.

Not only will it give your skin an airbrushed appearance but it’ll also concealer minor pores and creates a nice layer on your facial skin for foundation to adhere. It you’re a combo skin type it’ll mattify some of the shine you might experience on your forehead and within your t-zone area. Super oily skin might feel it doesn’t completely mattify all their problems but it’ll do well to create a smooth matte finish on most skin types.

I like how polished it makes my skin look. My foundation just looks more smoother applied over this primer! I don’t have visible pores (except on my nose) and I don’t have a ton of oily areas but this still works great to create a more flawless, softened appearance when used under my foundation.

Primers can be tricky…I’d have to try a sample first to see how it performs on my very fussy skin.
