Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover Transparent Powder

Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover is a transparent finishing powder and one of several fairly new products Holika Holika introduced in their Sweet Cotton Collection. I was surprised to find it in my recent Holika Holika Memebox as it is pretty newly released in Korea. Dunno why but I expected to get older, permanent products in that Memebox so it was nice to get something so new.

Take a look!

Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover

I kinda sorta think Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Pore Cover Powder is slightly over hyped. To hear the marketing on it one would think it washed dishes and took the dogs for long walks on the beach.

They call it a “fine powder” like cotton candy which also smells like cotton candy. I didn’t really notice much of a fragrance in all honesty, it was just a very light floral scent to my nose….! It’s basically a fined milled silky silica powder which can be used to set foundation, mattify skin, or set concealer. It’s applies transparent and has a soft, even finish on skin but if you over do application it can easily accentuate drier areas so be sure to pat, buff, or gently dust onto skin to avoid this. It does a nice job mattifying my shiny forehead while setting cream foundation for long wear and blurring the appearance of smaller pores should you have them.

The packaging kinda reminds me of Benefit Matterial Girl from way back in the day!

It’s quite cute and does exactly what it’s supposed to do however, try not to buy into Holika Holika’s over marketing of it! That’s a death trap haha…!

You can grab the entire Holika Holika Sweet Cotton Collection from ebay.com seller F1Plus2 or shop other Memeboxes at us.memebox.com.

Does it give a white cast in flash photography ? I’m still trying to find a finishing powder that doesn’t.

it will if you over apply sabrina, def have to blend it out well to avoid the white cast 🙂

Hmmmm I kinda want to try it but I’m pretty happy with the powders I have and I’m not sure I need another haha XD!Speaking of the brand though I am more curious about their Sweet Cotton Makeup Starter Mousse….i think thats the name XD! I’d love to see a review from you on it! Maybe even a comparison on your thoughts of that against Shu Uemura’s Whitefficiant UV under base :3!

hi! did you remove the plastic holey lid to use the product? i used to have their oil queen powder (i think this sweet cotton one is just the repackaged line) and i could tap the powder into the lid, but the cotton candy one’s holes are always clogged and i struggle to dispense the product!
