Models Own Lip Stix Review & Swatches
Models Own Lip Stix is a twist up chubby lip pencil that’s available in 10 shades. I recently purchased a shade of Models Own Lip Stix on ASOS but never got around to reviewing it so I thought I’d haul it out and give you some thoughts!
Models Own Lip Stix have a unique texture that I can’t really compare to other lip pencils and crayons I own. This is saying something considering how many chubby pencils I have at this point in my makeup life.
The thing that stands out most about the Models Own Lip Stix formula is the pigment. I tried out the shade Very Berry and this is an intense, vampy shade of berry that applies opaque within two layers. Pigment isn’t a problem at all with this formula!

I did find that the texture runs a little thinner and almost semi-matte in finish on application. The color had a knack for accentuating my drier lips and also falling into the natural lines of my lips which gave it a patchy, uneven appearance so a little balm prior will help things along. Color wears quite long at around five hours which is unheard of for many lip crayons I already use and own! The finish goes slightly satiny after the first hour and remains comfortably lightweight without feathering or migrating however, it does begin to look drier and drier as I head into hour three, four, and beyond. The texture is very thin and isn’t balmy the way many of these chubby pencils are which makes for a pleasantly weightless feel but for some reason also a drier one as the wear progresses.
A little more moisture and we might just have a winner here kids. Models Own Lip Stix has a heck of a pigmented formula that applies beautifully but the moisture levels are quite right for my drier lips so do beware if you’re prone to dry lips too! A little more hydration and these little twist up pencils would be on my hit list.
