NYX Simply Pink Lip Creme Review
The NYX Simply Pink Lip Creme Collection is a selection of six chubby lip pencils in a range of pink shades. I actually really liked the Simply Nude and Simply Red Lip Cremes I reviewed recently for you but I have my reservations about the NYX Simply Pink Lip Creme Collection!
One of the things I should mention prior to review the NYX Simply Pink Lip Cremes is the fact they break very, very easily. I had this issue with the Simply Nude shades but not the Simply Red ones however, the Pink shades seem to be the worst offenders.
NYX Simply Pink Lip Creme (First Base, Enchanted, Flushed, French Kiss, XOXO, Primrose)
Out of the six shades I ordered, three of them were damaged just in shipment. What happens is they seem to break off at the base and end up squishing up against the cap! It’s rather awful! So do BEWARE when ordering this online OR when traveling with them as I find tossing them in my bag also results in breakage.
I think the NYX Simply Pink Lip Cremes aren’t as great as the other shades I’ve tried. These shades are kinda difficult to pull off as they have a very white base and end up look unnatural on lips and chalky or even neon in some cases. I like berries and roses myself when it comes to pinks but these have such a hard white undertone many people will likely feel they look bad on lips. They have a very soft texture with a thin cream-like texture. They apply easily with absolutely no tugging however, I find they accentuate the natural lines of my lips and even fall into those lines which in turn gives them a very dry, patchy, uneven look. Clear gloss can easily redeem this situation but if you wanted to wear them alone with a satin finish I find it difficult to pull off as the colors just look very, very dry on lips!

Honestly, between the breakage, the selection of shades, and the poor formula that accentuates every little line on my lips, I really felt like the NYX Simply Pink Lip Creme formula was the worst I’ve tried out of the four color selection releases.
I’d recommend avoiding these ones.
