The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm Review & Swatches
The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm was recently included in my Memebox Special #45 Chocolate Mania Box and I was actually quite delighted by it. I was just reviewing the Body Shop’s Chocomania EDT and saying how much I disliked chocolate but I should tell you that The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm not only smells like chocolate but oranges too.
Can I tell you how much I HATE chocolate oranges? OMG they are almost as bad as marshmallow peeps! But I do like the way they smell and The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm smells quite like a chocolate orange!
The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm is something you’ll want to keep propped up on your bedside table it is not something you want to take to work with you nor is it something you want to keep on your desk. I keep hand cream on my desk and lip balms, etc…but this, no! Of course, that is unless you’d like your fingers to glide across the keyboard and your mouse to slip and slide out of your hands.
This stuff is emollient as all heck.
Not only is the jar packaging not ideal for keeping on a desk (dipping into the jar while at work is kinda gross) but also because the formula makes my hands very, very slippery. This is a very thick balm that you have to massage into hands as it doesn’t absorb quickly. It’s perfection for overnight treatments as it leaves my hands so smooth! It also leaves my cuticles super soft so I’m left with less reason to pick at stray, dry skin around my cuticles! Apply a small amount overnight and your hands with feel super soft and smooth come the AM! Plus the lovely chocolate-y orange fragrance is quite nice too.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you, The Skin Food Cacao Hand Balm isn’t work safe but as a nighttime treat for your dry hands it’s sheer perfection!
I got mine in a Memebox but E-bay sellers like F2Plus1 sell Skin Food plus there’s a new Skin Food store opening in The Palisades and there are two in New York already as well as ones in CA.
