Urban Decay Naked on The Run 3

The Urban Decay Naked on The Run Palette ($54) is a new, limited edition all in one Urban Decay Naked Palette that brings together six all new shades of Urban Decay Eyeshadow along with other makeup essentials to create a complete face palette to get your best naked look together on the run!

Urban Decay Naked on The Run

The Urban Decay Naked on The Run is a great travel friendly option for those who want to take their favorite Urban Decay Naked looks with them on the go. This face palette combines six new, exclusive shades of Urban Decay Eyeshadow with bronzer, blush, gloss, liner, and mascara all in one compact for easy travel or stowing away at the boyfriend’s so you’ll never have to be without your favorite Urban Decay products.

This compact is actually pretty large but still it’s a hell of a lot easier than carrying around your favorite Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette. It’s about the size of a CD case and but it’s considerably thicker with a gorgeous full size mirror inside that really aids in creating looks on the go. It’s a little bulky but it’ll make a nice travel companion for looks on the go. The fun part is you can swap out the lipgloss and eyeliner shade for other shades you might own! The rose gold case is striking with a gorgeous bronzey green face palette displaying Urban Decay’s Naked logo in all its glory. Since the palette is so thick I kinda wish it had a stealthy under compartment with applicators and brushes as this would truly make it the ultimate travel mate.

Inside you’ll find the following:

  • Dive (metallic rose with golden micro-shimmer)
  • Fix (soft taupe matte)
  • Resist (medium metallic taupe)
  • Dare (medium brown matte)
  • Stun (metallic bronze with light gold micro-shimmer)
  • 5050 (cool bisque satin)
  • Bronzer (medium bronze matte)
  • Blush (vibrant pink with light shimmer)
  • Travel Size Perversion Mascara
  • Travel Size 24/7 Gliod on Eye Pencil in Stag (deep brown satin)
  • Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Sesso (rose with pink shimmer)

A lot of folks mistakenly looked at the palette and thought 5050 was a highlighter since it was situated by the bronzer and blush. But it is in fact a gorgeous eyeshadow shade in beige cream that makes for the perfect highlighting color! The shadows in the set are gorgeous. They have a smooth, velvety texture with plenty of pigment. I thought Fix was a little dry but aside from that the other five shades were gorgeous with 5050 really making an impression on me as the shade is one I’ll likely use often to prep, blend, and highlight with. I didn’t really love Stag 24/7 Eyeliner as I’m a little spoiled and expect super creamier formulas from Urban Decay’s eyeliners. This was a touch dense, drier, but smudged easily enough so if you have oily lids you’ll likely appreciate the drier texture of this shade.

I happen to be a huge a huge fan of Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss and happy to see a new shade in this palette. Sesso is likely a shade that will look universally flattering on most skin tones. The texture isn’t very thick on these glosses and they have a gel-like consistency that isn’t tacky or sticky and quite reminds me of a thinner version of It Cosmetics CC+ Lip Serum Creme Gloss. This formula is lightweight, glossy, and has a minty scent and flavor. It’s quite a lovely texture that wears comfortably for around three hours while keeping my lips nice and moist through that wear.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
is a wetter formula that can get spiky if I’m not careful during application. So take it slow as you apply. The twisted trim brush has a good deal of bristles that act to create a clump-free finish but I always feel if I’m not careful things get clump with Perversion due to the wetter texture of the mascara. The formula is lightweight but I find my lashes stick together when applying it. The formula is very black and does in fact live up to the Perversion name but I always get decent length from it but not a lot of drama so it isn’t my favorite mascara in the world.

Both the bronzer and blush shade in this palette have a very smooth consistency with an easy to apply formula and plenty of pigment. They are dense initially but as you brush through they go powdery and swatch a little chalky but apply beautifully soft and even on cheeks and face. They quite remind me of the texture and consistency of the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palettes.

The Urban Decay Naked on The Run Palette is sure to be pleasing to fans of the Naked range. Sporting six new shades of eyeshadow is enough to get any Urban Decay fan happy I’m sure and I do believe the shadows were the star in this show. I travel a lot so I can appreciate this palette as it combines all the essentials you can need for quickie nude, natural looks on the go. I have a mini Perversion 24/7 Eyeliner I swapped Stag out which makes me happier as I use Perversion way more than any other liner in my stash.

Well, I won’t buy it for myself. But I won’t let that stop other people from buying it for me as a gift, haha 🙂

I am a sucker for all in one palettes, but I really don’t need this. I want it though…

I just bought the BareMinerals Magic Act palette, which is gorgeous and much cheaper (I prefer to keep my liner, lipgloss and mascara separate). I also have the UD Face Case in Shattered from last year. I have the Tarte Amazonian Escape Palette, the Tarte Glow circle palette from QVC, and the Smashbox Wondervision palette from last year (products are AMAZING, packaging is horrific and makes it virtually useless, unfortunately). So I really don’t need an all in one palette. This is tempting though.

I want this because I do not own any of the naked glosses or the naked blush/bronzer/highlighter sets (sorry forgot what they are officially called, LOL) I do have the anarchy face kit from last year, I actually hate it!!! too glittery, would rather have had shattered but were all sold out. anyways, this looks like it would be good for those who do not own a few of the urban decay items that are in this set, or someone who just loves them and wants a travel friendly palette.

Thanks for the info. I actually do not think it is available right on at urbandecay.com. I just checked an it will not be available until Nov 20 at 1am PST.

I will be getting this. I did actually think 5050 was a highlight because of the placement and it’s slightly larger size than the other shadows – but I guess if it’s meant to be a blending/all over shade, you’d probably use more of it than the other shadows.
It would be nice to have an underneath compartment for brushes, but I don’t really even mind…I can just throw this in my brush bag and go and leave my big bulky makeup bag at home.

Oh man… Dive has my name written alllllll over it. Stunning! They need to make a single of that one for real!

So sad to hear that Stag doesn’t have the smooth buttery glide-on texture…it should though! I mean, it’s brown. How do you mess up brown? 🙁 I’m 50/50 black or brown liners these days so I was excited about Stag.

The shadows look great. The blush and bronzer look really pretty. I’ve been wanting to try Perversion mascara really bad as well. Thanks for the advice on application – I would have made a mess! Wetter formulas…I totally agree that careful/slow application is a must.

I love Sesso! The color and finish are so pretty! And that formula will be brilliant in the winter months when my lips are like ouch no matter what I do.

I might have to get this! Or maybe…someone will gift it to me, hehe. 😀 My only complaint is that I wish they put one more pinky eyeshadow in there. It’s a whole lot of great UD makeup to have in one palette and the price is awesome for all the product that you get! Thanks for the great review! 😀

I love the idea of this but that bronzer looks organge. I cant get past that.

I was thinking the same thing about the bronzer! After seeing the swatch I am disappointed, not sure if I will end up getting the palette. I will say that it is awesome having everything all in one. I travelled this weekend with the Tarte Rainforest After Dark palette and I actually had room in my makeup bag! This Urban Decay palette offers even more products, but I really think that bronzer will look awful on me!

  • Sophie

Great review! I think the “cheek” highlighter could definitely be used on the eyes as a highlighter, making this a full look palette. I think I’m gonna grab this one!

  • Sarah

Great post ..as always you have great pictures. I love this palette. Doesn’t seem overly exciting but the colors are really pretty.

I’ve been wanting a good all in one palette and I’m obsessed with UD, but this misses the mark for me. Fix and Dare are too similar. A light taupe and dark brown matte would have been perfect but they’re too close to each other in shade. While I adore the blush, the bronzer is too orange for my pasty self and I do have 2 of the 4 flushed palettes. Stag isn’t a hit with me either. Sesso is pretty but I’d rather carry my brushes safe in the palette and my lip products separately. I suppose I could replace it with some travel sized brushes but I’m a lipstick girl anyway and wouldn’t get a ton of use out of the gloss. It’s taken me 2 months to use up the sample sized naked gloss I have. The collector in me wants this badly (the packaging alone makes me want it!) but being realistic, I don’t need another palette in my drawer and I don’t love it enough to be able to travel without bringing another palette with me for better color variety. I’m not tired of the Naked line but I wish UD would do more with the bright colors they’re famous for. I wouldn’t mind if they rolled out 10 more Naked palettes (I have 2 and 3 and love them!) as long as they would do as much color as they do Naked and tbh one Vice a year + the permanent Electric isn’t really keeping up with the permanent pile of Nakeds.

  • Lauren

It looks like the shadow swatches are out of order. How to the browns on your arm correspond to the browns in the pan? The second one looks lighter than the first, possibly?

  • Nan

Great review — I think I want this! Do you by chance have any more details about this palette being released/available at Macy’s? Do you know if it will be available on their website or in stores only? And is the release date Dec. 1 or 6th?

    Lots of questions! 🙂

    Thanks!

I have this pallete. I got it from sephora. Its amazing. The bronze and blush are amazing m I suggest if you want to tone down the pink in the blush just mix some bronzer to customize your shade. The eyeshadow are gorgeous. I use the 1st naked basics pallete with this and it is amazing. The lip gloss is amazing as well as the eyeliner. I haven’t tried the mascara yet but pallete is definitely one of my favorites. I highly suggest you get one. This is a great review.thanks for taking the time to go through this pallete in detail. 😚
