It Cosmetics Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush 101 Set

It Cosmetics Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush 101 5 Piece Face & Eye Getting Started Brush Set ($58) is one of several new makeup brushes sets that It Cosmetics created exclusively for Ulta. This particularly set contains five full size airbrush makeup brushes for face and eyes.

Let’s take a look!

It Cosmetics Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush Set

As you know It Cosmetics created an exclusive and extensive line of makeup brushes for Ulta that launched earlier this Fall. One of the collections they introduced is the Airbrush Essentials Collection which are the brushes that can be found in the It Cosmetics Your Beautiful Basics Airbrush 101 Set.

Last week I reviewed and was disappointed with the It Brushes For Ulta Your Airbrush Masters Advanced Brush Set because I felt like the bristles of the brushes were splitting and the handles were very lightweight. As you know, if you use It Brushes, this is highly unusual. I was a little worried I’d experience the same problems with this set since they are from the same line of brushes, the Airbrush Essentials Collection.

I am very happy and relieved to say I love this set however, the handles are still very, very light. The handles are actually hollow inside and I feel like they slip around a bit when I’m applying makeup. I have to hold them close to the upper part of the brush for a bit more control because I’m just not used to such a lighter handle. Aside from this issue I had no problems with bristles splitting or shedding! And after three washings they bristles retained their shape and they dried very quickly!

You get:

  • Airbrush Powder
  • Airbrush Foundation
  • Airbrush Concealer
  • Airbrush Shadow
  • Airbrush Crease

The brushes are housed in a zip around black case with a ribbon decorating the front. They are an excellent line of airbrush brushes as they have softer bristles that pick up both powder and creams beautifully well and allow for excellent buffing onto skin. These live up to their name as they do in fact give an airbrushed finish!

If you’re shopping these new sets I’d highly recommend heading to Ulta to feel the handles as they are considerably lighter than what you might be used to from It Cosmetics! Aside from the handles, which prove easy enough to get used to after a few applications, this is an excellent value with brushes that really perform well! The set is worth it just for the Airbrush Concealer Brush alone which buffs concealer under my eyes into a picture perfect finish.

Loves it.

These are available now at Ulta and Ulta.com.

If you have the set do share your thoughts on it!

Muse, these look very similar to the Heavenly Luxe Brush set that I got, but the handle looks a little different. Are these the same brushes?

the 2013 set Katherine? No, the handles are actually lighter and the brushes in this set are different if you’re talking about the Holiday 2013 set that is 🙂

Thanks so much for reviewing this set. I’ve had my eye on it for quite some time. Wasn’t sure if I should take the plunge and get it but because of your review I think it would be worth the splurge.

Ok, thanks for info. Wow, I thought those were already pretty light, can’t believe these are even lighter.
