This is for the travel folks out there who want a set of essential brushes that are small enough for travel but still pack plenty of usability and quality. Too many times I come across travel friendly brush sets that come with brushes I won’t use or brushes that aren’t as great as their larger sizes.
It Cosmetics does a great job with the Your Face & Eye Essentials Travel Brush Set as these smaller sizes are just as fabulous as their larger cousins.
The set includes:
- Complexion: Small, domed ultra soft brush head
- Shadow: Small, soft rounded head designed for the delicate eye area
- Crease: Narrow, tapered head designed to fit into the crease of the eye area
- Smudger: Firm, tapered head designed for softening lines, smudging edges and blending out color
- Liner/ Brow: Firm, flat angled brush hair
All five brushes have lightweight black handles and soft, fibre bristles. The bristles actually remind me of MAC’s fibre’s line of brushes such as the 286 as they have the same soft texture. I like a good dense brush for eyeshadow application but I typically love soft, fibre bristled brushes for blending since you can do that sweeping blending motion so much easier with softer bristles.
The brushes come housed in a small black pouch but I didn’t love the pouch as it keeps flipping open (it has a small magnetic closure but for some reason it wouldn’t stay closed)!
All in all the It Cosmetics Your Face & Eye Essentials Travel Brush Set is an excellent little value for travellers! This is a great way to experience It Cosmetics new Ulta exclusive Brush Collection and let me tell you the size doesn’t take away from the quality here! This little guys as just as great as the larger It Cosmetics Brushes!
