Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm Review & Swatches
Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm is a new cute blush releasing in two shades for Spring 2015 ($6.95). If you loved the Guerlain Meteorites Bubble Blush or products like EOS Lip Spheres and Philosophy Pink Almond Candy Lip Balm I’m sure these little beauty budget balms will appeal.
Take a look!
Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm is possibly one of the cutest products I’ve seen to hit the drugstores lately. These are adorable! And quite unique to the drugstore and even the mid and high range market.
Each blush comes housed in a silver and white sphere that can be applied directly onto cheeks or lips. The rounded shape is super easy and mess-free to apply as all you have to do is smile and dab or swipe onto the apples of your cheeks!
The formula contains an SPF 20 and promises a sheer yet buildable formula that enhances your natural cheek and lip color. I find the formula is sheer but it does build very, very easily so you can deepen the color easily enough. I purchased both shades and both look very natural and pretty on my cheeks no matter how much I apply. However, they are quite dry…! These are a cream blush but they drag during application considerably so you have to kinda work hard to apply them. The formula goes above and beyond the typical matte blush and ventures into the realms of being a bit too dense and a bit too dry. Thankfully after I blend them out I didn’t have issues with the product clinging to my drier areas. I simply swipe on and I blend out with my fingers and although dense and dry they still blend out nicely to a very natural finish. I guess in some ways it’s good they aren’t dewy or overly hydrating as cream blushes with a formula like that tend to fade quickly on me where as this formula wears for a solid eight hours without fading or losing intensity. Plus, if you have oily skin you might not mind the density and dry matte texture of the blush. These do have a fragrance, it’s kinda a fruity one but sort of plastic-y as well! I didn’t mind the fragrance but sensitive users might not appreciate it!
I’m not particularly keen on mouth to face or face to mouth products but I like the multitasking idea behind them. I did try these on my lips but they are an absolute no go. They apply sheer, prove difficult to build up, and leave my lips feeling very, very, very dry!

Physicians Formula Super BB All-in-1 Cheek & Lip Beauty Balm is a cute idea, a unique one, however, the product has a few quirks which you’re either going to be alright with dealing with or irritated by. Personally, they seem like a good blush for Summer when my skin is a little more oilier and less dry. The long wear is a great but the dryness of the formula was disappointing! I was surprised at the price as they are possibly the least expensive product in the Physicians Formula line of products (their prices have seem to have risen considerably in the last two years and are borderline mid-range pricing) plus they have a peel off $3 instant coupon so I only paid $3 and change for them at Harmons (I believe they were $5.95 at Harmons when I purchased them and deduct the coupon it’s around $2.95 plus taxes so not too bad a deal).
I don’t think everyone is going to love them but they might be worth checking out if you grab them on sale!
Anyone try them?
