About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Would love to know more about the NYX palette, but I couldn’t find anything online about it.

I don’t have a pic sadly but it’s a six pan cream shadow contouring/concealing palette. as soon as I learn more will post!

It is called the Contouring Face Palette and there are two versions: one that is for correcting and the other called Sunkissed that contains a blush, highlighter and contouring powder. I have just purchased it and I am using it today. So far so good. It has worn 6 hours on me. I have very fair skin and it is in a peachy sort of colour.

I got the NARS Olympia duo for Christmas and its perfection for a contouring beginner like me!! Multiple dark and light shades are overwhelming at this point– I don’t know where to put them all!!

It is on the website but NOT available yet! Still says coming soon 🙂 The BECCA palette is available, and more Spring 2015 BECCA is available at ULTA! Do we know when the Too Faced Contouring palette is coming out?

I think I should contour more because of my round face as well. I wish I felt more comfortable doing it! I am excited for the NYX one because it’s cheap enough that I can play around with it and not feel like I bought a $50 palette I will never use.

me too I always feel like one of those pageant kids when I try haha! Agreed! something cheap to practice with is a good way to start!

  • Caroline

I just recently got the It Cosmetics contouring palette and am going to stick with that one for a while. I contour every day, but to be honest, I don’t really get the need for a whole palette with multiple shades of bronzer and highlighter. So until I figure that out, I’m not buying any more palettes! LOL

I have one of the RCMA pallettes which works wonders for everything. I was also lucky enough to get the Kat Von D contour pallette over the MLK holiday in January at – the manager allowed me to purchase that and an Hourglass eyeshadow pallette that hadn’t been released in stores yet during a makeover since I had asked about them and am a member. (Names and geographic locations removed to protect identity and to secure future “special” purchases! Lol). The Kat Von D contour pallette is *awesome* and I’ve used it more than even I anticipated! I highly recommend it!

Correction. It wasn’t for sale yet in my “major cosmetics retailer” – it may have been in other locations!
