Tarte Celebrated

Tarte Celebrated Amazonian Clay Blush is a new shade of that’s launching with the Tarte Spring 2015 Collection.

Celebrated is what of those shades that I don’t even really have a name for. It’s….interesting? Unique?

Different?

Tarte Celebrated Blush

Some of you have speculated that Tarte might be revamping their blush collection since they have had a good deal of sales lately as well on the blush range. I can’t say if that’s happening or not but I’d be curious to see if more shades launch as we head deeper into Spring Collections. I will say Tarte Celebrated Amazonian Clay Blush ($26) comes housed in new packaging so it does make me wonder if at some point we’ll see the blushes repackaged?

This comes housed in a palette decorated with gold confetti and the “Tartelette” sprays across the front. I’m unsure of Celebrated will be permanent or limited edition but I have a feeling she’s here to stay for the long haul.

I actually couldn’t tell you exactly what the shade is. It’s a very sheer, very natural, very, very, very light grayish pink. It doesn’t really show on my cheeks at all and will be suitable for very fair skin. Even building the shade I was unable to see it on my cheeks. One thing I did notice is it makes a heck of a blending shade so if you apply a little too much peach or coral blush you can use Celebrated to tone down colors and blend them out. On very light skin, you’ll likely find this applies as a natural warmer peachy pink. It has a soft powdery texture but blends out to a smooth, soft matte finish on my cheeks and faces sans any shimmer, glow, or sparkle.

For those who love Tarte Blushes (I know, I’m right there with you) but found them too pigmented or dark for their skin tone will likely love Celebrated Amazonian Clay Blush! I admit I was a little disappointed as I could barely see it on my skin tone. But this one, this one’s for all the light skin girls and gals out there looking for a perfect, natural blush shade. Lucky you!

From my understanding Tarte Spring 2015 was supposed to launch this week but so far only the Tarte Tartelette Palette is available at Sephora.com at this point. I’m sure everything is coming soon though so hopefully by the end of the week we’ll have word!

What do you think of Celebrated?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. This is right up my alley! It might be close to my true love, long-discontinued MAC Strada blush. Thanks for the review, I had no idea about the color.

  • Jane

I’m actually not a huge fan of Tarte blushes (though due to poor impulse control I have three, ha ha), but this color would be amazing. Sometimes I don’t want to have to be careful with blending pigmented blushes into my pale skin, you know?

    • Isabella Muse

totally understand. I actually did a major boo boo yesterday and over applied orgasm (sparkle finish one) and I ended up using celebrated to tone it down and it really came out beautiful 😀

Hey Muse! I was wondering if you knew how this compared to Nars Sex Appeal blush? I’m ultra fair and was looking for a ‘barely there’ blush that might cancel out redness and would be easy to wear with any eye look. Thanks so much and great review!

    • Isabella Muse

sex appeal seems lighter yet more pigmented Tess plus it’s more peachy, this has more pink to it. It’s a hard blush to peg down in terms of “the color it is” if that makes sense 🙂 My pleasure, I’m glad you enjoyed it!!!!!!

Thanks for the review. Will definitely have to check this one out. It might make a good replacement for my discontinued bareminerals Ready blush in The Whisper. Lots of folks complained that one wasn’t any darker than foundation, for me it was flushy and natural.

    • Isabella Muse

trish might be a little lighter than whisper! Hope it works for you 🙂

  • Maria

Hi Muse. This blush reminds me of Cover Girl cheekers blush natural twinkle shade somewhat. But cover girl seems to have more pigment. I have this cover girl shade which I like and looks natural.

    • Isabella Muse

I never tried that one Maria but always great to have a cheaper, affordable dupe 😀

  • Maria

😃🎄🎅 hi Isabella. The Cover girl one you should try. Drugstore.com has sales and coupons sometimes. My skin coloring is similar to yours. The price is under 4 bucks.it lasts all day for me. 😊

    • Isabella Muse

hi again maria! will do! 😀 Hopefully it’s a bit more pigmented than celebrated for me 🙂

  • Sissi

I love tarte blushes but I would not say it is very unique- but I still want it! LOL!

  • Kim

I dont love the swatch but willprobably stillbuy it. Im a tarte-aholic! They have been revamping the blushes slowly. I bought natural beauty and bkushing bride over the summer, and they have different packaging than the originals. The shades are also different from the original.

    • Isabella Muse

oh awesome. I haven’t purchased a shade in a while so didn’t realized they did the packaging over!

  • JoElla

It’s pretty, but I will wait to swatch it.

I feel like I should love Tarte blushes more than I do. I have 3 (one mini and 2 from the qvc tsv kit) and play with them, but not totally in love with them. Maybe the next 2 from the qvc kit will seal the deal.

Funny thing is, I fawn all over the holiday blush kits, ooh and ahh over them, then when I finally decide to purchase, they are all sold out. Yes, I know how silly I sound.

  • Laura

As a paler than pale girl, I cannot wait to go swatch this! I have two Tarte blush minis from a holiday set and Black Friday set which I love but are pretty pigmented :/ this may be just right!

  • Rachel R.

I must have this. It was made for my fair skin. It reminds me a bit of MAC’s Pink Cult.

  • Lisa Marie

This reminds me of breathless from their pin up palette. Maybe more pink than peach in comparison?

  • Kitty

I think I have pretty light skin but this showed up as almost exactly the same as my skin tone.

  • misskitten

It is a limited edition, and is named “Celebrated” and contained in a confetti decorated compact as a “celebration” of their 15th anniversary. The color and packaging are both a limited time only. Tarte describes the color as a “warm nude pink”.
