0.5 oz Tarte Maracuja Oil Perfectly Sized for Under Eyes

Tarte Maracuja Oil

Tarte Maracuja Oil now comes in a 0.5 oz size for $15 and me thinks it’s perfectly sized for under eyes. When Tarte introduced Maracuja Oil it came in that Sam’s Club 3.4 oz size. You know how facial oils are, you only need like a drop to do your entire body so 3.4 oz is family size.

You can moisturizer the Hub, the kids, the family pet, and yourself with 3.4 ounces of Maracuja Oil. Don’t get me wrong, the large size is totally cool by me but smaller is sometimes better for travel and…

For keeping by your concealer! I like smoothing a few drops under my eyes prior to applying concealer or even mixing a drop with my It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer to thin the formula out while adding much more moisture to the formula. If you have drier eyes, believe me, a drop of Maracuja Oil will change the life of your concealer application.

Plus this is a great size for travel as well.

It still comes housed in the traditional glass purple bottle with a dropper so you’re not forsaking any packaging details in the smaller size!

If you aren’t ready to indulge in the $46 1.7 oz size or the $75 3.4 oz size this new 0.5 oz size might just be for you!

It’s available now at Sephora and Sephora.com.

ROFLMAO!!! Yeah, the bucket o’ Maracuja Oil seemed a bit excessive to me… The stuff lasts an eternity! Plus, I have always been a sucker for the cute lil travel sized thingys… You can refill them from your bucket o’ Oil too, and keep the bucket in a cool room, or fridge, so it lasts longer….

I haven’t tried it under concealer, but I am going to do so tomorrow! Hell, it can’t hurt anything, and could only help!

haha good for the family right? 😀 EXACTLY! that’s what I do! Just refill and go! It’s great under concealer or mixed with concealer especially if you’re dry, just a little! Don’t over do it 😀

Hi Muse!! I got this size as an “extra” in QVC TSV a couple of years ago. They only warning I have for this small size is to be careful not to drop it. I dropped it on my CARPETED bedroom floor, and the glass bottle shattered! What a surprise. 🙁

I still have my sample size one from the Tarte Holiday palette in 2013. I always feel like I need more than a few drops. Also I hate the dispenser on it. I put more than a few drop on face for sure but my super dry skin seems to appreciate it more. I am going to have to try it with concealer now though too my concealer is always patchy so that may help great tip.

I have a little bottle from the holiday set I got at sephora last year, haven’t even used it. Good suggestion to put on before concealer because the skin around my eyes is really dry

I prefer a small to medium size because if I don’t use it up fast enough, it can go rancid

I love these minis. I have a couple from kits or gwp’s. And I also refill from the mambo bottle. Im thinking of getting the roller ball version for under my eyes. It seems so quick and easy this way. I really love Maracuja oil. It’s great for so many things. And to think I avoided oils for decades because of my oily skin. So, so dumb. Oils have changed my skin dramatically.

I love the rollerball version the best. I use it on my cuticles, knuckles( which are so so dry and cracked from constantly washing my hands…I work in healthcare) and mostly under my eyes on days when I’m postcall and still have to work a 10 hour shift following… I look in the mirror and think I look like..S#*@… It’s very hydrating…but now afeter readinbg this, I must try it prior to concealor (which I love/hate.. maybe I’d love concealor more and hate less… I can only hope.

I guess I’m the only one who slathers on the oil like a mad woman, oops 🙂 Great idea mixing it with your concealer!

  • Gloria

I really hope they’re not getting rid of the rollerball, that stuff feels super good under the eyes!

Hi! I know this article is almost 2 years old, but I had a question that hopefully you can still answer. I own this oil, and mainly use it as a face moisturizer after a shower. The girls at sephora were trying to get me to purchase the “Tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment” in order to prevent my concealer from falling into fine lines. Do you think that they oil by itself would be fine? I’m so hesitant to by that $38 tiny jar of eye cream. Also, I’m only 21 and I don’t feel like I need a serious eye cream yet, since that is my only issue. Thanks!

It’s never too early for eye cream Lauren. Even a cheap eye cream is worth it to keep your eyes hydrated which hopefully means less lines in the future. You won’t have to spend $38 on eye cream, there are a lot of cheaper options around! I’d recommend Hada Labo’s formula http://www.ulta.com/age-correcting-eye-cream?productId=xlsImpprod10711247 it’s often on sale as well and she’s right it’ll make your concealer look smoother and allow it to apply more easily. The oil works great under eyes as well! But sometimes eye cream is a little better for use under eyes if you aren’t extra dry as the oil could potentially cause your concealer to fade faster. If you are very dry though the oil is fine.
