About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment.

I had to click on the “Wanna Look Good for Jesus” post! I didn’t know about your site back in 2008 so this was a new one to me. Very funny! I clicked on the link in the post to see if the company was still around and they are. My favorite product is “I just s^%* in the woods” hand sanitizer for $5.99. (Not sure if could write the word here:) ) Too funny!

Muse, this was great! Today I really needed a laugh and you brought it!! I had missed some of these the first time around. Butt shaped nail polish? How to look good for Jesus? AwesomeπŸ˜ƒ

This is clearly why you are the beauty blog I visit every day. I missed Blue Q’s lookin good for Jesus line and that’s tragic, because I live for that style of upbeat blasphemy. Kinda tempted to ‘shop one of the images and replace Jesus with Rupaul… πŸ˜€

hahah glad you enjoyed that aunty! made me laugh, that’s for sure! or by all means replace Jesus with any god you want including Ru-Paul! hahaha!

I clicked onto your post about drugstore makeup prices. So, so true. Here in Australia they make a meal out of us consumers. The prices are ridiculously high for even basic things. A Revlon Colour Stay foundation will generally cost you $27-$32. Even half price, it is still a bit steep. As for high end makeup, well it is much cheaper to either buy from ebay or from the few sites that deliver internationally. However the transport costs are usually high as well. Although Sephora has recently arrived in Sydney, they are keeping their high end brands like Guerlain the same price as those found in Myers and David Jones – which is outrageous. Quite a lot of the brands you mention in your blog cannot be sources here. I just read and weep.
