About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Boring! I think it’s safe to say that most of us have these core shades in our stash. I understand the need to go back the basics but not $45 for a four pan eyeshadow. Sorry Bobbi!

I love bobbi but yup, this one is uneventful for me, I have too many of the same shades!

I got so into Bobbi Brown last year, but I bought two palettes and a few other things and I feel now like everything that has come out is just the same revisited. Sometime there will be something else I want.

  • Hannah

I’m disappointed that the U.S. collection doesn’t include the two new shades of sparkle eye shadow as does the U.K. collection. This collection= “yawn”.

Oooh, that illuminating balm sounds interesting. As for the shadows, it seems that Bobbi Brown has come out with like 20 neutral brown shadow kits that all look the same, they are way overpriced, and pigmentation has been kind of hit or miss….

Is it just me… or does the promo photo look like a hack job of a shop? The shadow under her boobs looks like staring into space, the shadow above her boobs where her arm is positioned looks out of place? Like, it’d be pressed against her, not hovering 2D over her chest. Also, the line where her arm connects to her body, near her armpit area is oddly harsh? Looking at the picture just seems so surreal because everything is juuust slightly… off.

But the collection looks lovely, I especially want those glosses!!

I thought something about the promo image was off… It just looks like she’s really confused to me! I do agree, those glosses look lovely however.

I love Bobbi Brown’s nude palettes, so I’m looking forward to this collection.

I m quite disappointed with this collection too. Nothing innovative. Bobbi used to bring out stunning neutral and nude for Spring 🙁

If you have any of Bobbi’s pallets you have ivory, cement, stone and espresso. I too think that Bobbi is getting stale lately; unless she is planning on bringing the roof down with her summer 2015 collection. Does anyone know what summer 2015 looks like for Bobbi?

  • Kate

looks like a other collections are doing these types of colors too, after a while it is ho hum. How many do you need,

I am in minority here, but I like this palette and plan to order it online, blind. I think it is a good value. I have Rich chocolate palette and one custom palette of mattes and one custom palette of sparkles. Surprisingly, I don’t have any of those 4 shades and it is a good value for me because most probably, I would not buy another big expensive custom palette (have about 40 of them already) but this one is small and half the price. Colors seem to be well chosen and neutral. I struggled to find a neutral palette from her recent collections – either too warm or too cool (there are also neutral color types who look off in both). Business wise, it must be also a good way to attract a different consumer group, someone who likes simpler palettes and looks for some proven color solutions. So I don’t judge BB for this.
Also, btw, there is a second “spring collection 2015” that is going to be launched in February (will be there every month a new spring collection?). This new collection will have a more interesting eyeshadow pallette called Hot Nudes (will they ever stop calling all their palettes “nudes”?).
