It Cosmetics CC Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream

It Cosmetics CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream is a new undereye concealer from It Cosmetics that’s launching with the QVC January Today’s Special Value on the 19th. I was quite excited about the launch of CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream but a little worried that it might be a newly packaged version of the very popular It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Concealer!

Mind you, I wouldn’t mind a newly packaged version of Bye Bye since it is one my favorite concealers but honestly, knowing the brand’s track record with creating fantastic concealers product I was just excited about trying something new and not something repackaged!

Let’s take a look!

It Cosmetics Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream

As you may know from my prior post, It Cosmetics is launching a QVC Today’s Special Value on January 19th entitled New Year, Your Most Beautiful Skin that includes five full size products and one of which is the new It Cosmetics CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream. This set features a newly packaged compact version of It Cosmetics CC+ Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream so I automatically assumed that perhaps the new Eye Color Correcting Cream would just be a newly packaged version of Bye Bye Concealer. It is not, it’s an entirely newly formulated concealer product that’s unlike Bye Bye.

It Cosmetics CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream weights in at 0.33 oz. This is interesting because although the tube looks smaller than Bye Bye Undereye but it actually contains more product (0.28 oz). It also has an SPF 50 (9.0% titanium dioxide and 6.3% zinc oxide) which is something Bye Bye does not have.

This comes with an attached slanted applicator which acts like a cold spoon for your eyes. You can squeeze the tube and apply with the attached slanted tip. The applicator has a nice cooling effect under eyes as you apply. Unfortunately, I dislike applying concealer using applicators like this as it tends to make a patchy mess. The best bet is to take advantage of the cooling applicator and smoothing the concealer into place by gently swiping the metal tip back and fourth under eyes and proceeding to blend out after with your finger tip for a smoother appearance. Personally the applicator is lovely and feels quite nice under my eyes but I prefer squeezing a small amount of concealer onto my concealer brush and apply using this method.

The formula is gorgeous. It’s quite hydrating and has a creamier texture that’s considerably less emollient and not nearly as thick as Bye Bye. It thins out considerably as you apply and has a nice light feel with sheer to almost medium coverage. Honestly, it could probe a little disappointing if you’re expecting it to be as crazy pigmented as Bye Bye because unfortunately it is not. However, it brightens up the eye area beautifully and will conceal puffiness, finer lines, and minor dark circles (for super dark circles I’d recommend Bye Bye’s more concentrated formula). I love Bye Bye but realize it’s a bit too thick and heavy for some so I do think that if you dislike Bye Bye you’ll be very happy with the formulation of CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream. It’s much lighter in consistency, blends a little more easily, and has a nice hydrating feel. I had no issues with it creasing into my finer lines and it wears just as strongly as Bye Bye at around 8 hours without fading when set with powder. Just a warning, if you’re sensitive it it does have a lemon-y fresh fragrance that’s pretty strong.

I don’t love the packaging but It Cosmetics CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream proves a refreshing change from my heavier Bye Bye Concealer formula. This is light, sheerer, but still wears long while brightening up my eye area and giving them a flawless less tired appearance!

If you love Bye Bye you might find the pigmentation disappointing on as this is not nearly as concentrated. However, if you’ve always desired a lighter less emollient version of Bye Bye I’m thinking you’ll love CC+ Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream!

It will be available exclusively in the New Year, Your Most Beautiful Skin set that launches on QVC.com on January 19th!

Ah. I love Bye Bye, so this is probably not for me. Unless I make myself get at least seven hours sleep per night and reduce my dark circles substantially 😀

Please do a tinted moisturizer IT!!! I don’t like their celebration foundation because fair is white and the light is too orange and dark for me, and I hate the cc cream, it’s too thick and oily feeling for me.

    • Karena

Have you tried the new “tinted moisturizer” called Bye Bye Foundation?

  • Candace

How does the CC eye cream compare against the bye bye under eye corrector?

  • Angel

I’m still at a complete loss as to why eye products must be scented. Thanks for mentioning that as this will be a pass for me. Anything fragranced near my eyes causes tears and puffiness.

I’m not sensitive around my eyes but I agree, prob should leave out the fragrance in anything eye related :-/

    • Majick

I’m with Angel on this one. I wish they would leave fragrance OUT of all skincare. I was going to get this because of the new brush etc. but if there is fragrance I’m not sure I want any more disappointments right now. Everytime I order something anymore I either get a defective one or it’s way different than advertised. I’m so sick of returning or calling to complain.
      thanks for letting me vent…ugh.

  • Kiss & Make-up

I love that it has SPF 50! I wonder where I could get this from Switzerland…

  • Majick

p.s. everything about this sounds great until you got to the fragrance part. Thank you so much for the review.

Hm, I love BBUE as it is, but would like to try this TSV anyhow. Muse, which one of the to BBUE products would you use if you wanted to look your best? Just curious since I know you also love the original! I’m guessing this concealer would be easier to squeeze out and I like the SPF and that the color’s warmer (took me some time to realize why I liked the original BBUE coverage but it didn’t look quite right as I’m light-olive/golden-toned).

I agree with everyone that fragrance has no place in MU, especially under the eyes!

    • Isabella Muse

def the original bye bye undereyes Kat! that’s the most concentrated so it hides EVERYTHING! puffiness, fine lines, dark circles GONE 😀

  • Ame

I may have to try this. I love the CC cream and layer the CC under my eyes before concealer for the coverage… I despise their bye bye undereye concealer because the texture is foul and the coverage for me is non-existent.

    • Isabella Muse

bye bye has no coverage for you? wow! first I heard that one 🙂 It’s hells pigmented for me!

  • Katmary

Thank you for the reply, Muse! 🙂 I’ll probably still get it to try, and perhaps try a thin layer over BBUE. I know, sounds like overkill, but I have horrible under eye circles plus melasma on the lower orbital bones and side of one eye, plus a visible vein under my eye. Definitely makes concealing a challenge!

  • colorful

It sounds great except for the ridiculous sunscreen. I could never use that around my eyes. Sunscreen gives me a bad reaction. 🙁

  • Sandy

I got the tsv and unfortunately I’m leaning towards returning it. This is definitely too sheer to cover any under eye circles- I use the origins ginzeng under eye cream and it has the same if not better brightening effect as this. this concealer seems to owe its brightening effect to small shimmery particles in the formula. I was sadly disappointed as to me it ends up looking like eyeshadow fallout. This was my first and last it purchase

  • Stefanie

Are the colors the same as the CC Cream or do they lean darker, warmer, etc..? I’m usually in between Fair and Light in the CC Cream but would like to buy this but only want to buy 1 color! And could you possibly do a before/ after concealer pic?

  • Kelley

I have been so intrigued with this product and just ordered it in shade Fair. I find Bye Bye Under Eye to be a bit too thick so thinking this will be the right consistency for me. Thanks for the great review!
