Physicians Formula Argan Oil Blushes

Well Physicians Formula is too late! Josie has successfully infused every single thing she could possibly get her hands on with argan oil! Sorry Physicians Formula! Haha I’m kidding but it is true. Argan Oil has ran it’s course in the beauty world and many, many products are apparently “infused” with it.

Argan Oil aside, I have to say Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil Blush is delightful!

Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil Blush is a new Physicians Formula Spring 2015 permanent blush available in two shade selections that’s infused with Argan Oil.

I liked these little blushes a lot although they can be very, very repetitive in terms of shade selection and they are possibly a dupe for every single other Physicians Formula blush you have already. The brand only does two shade selections in blush one of which is Natural and the other Rose. After a while these shades run together and almost all of them look similar. Although I will say that the textures run a little different from product product when it comes to Physicians Formula. I’ve run into a few blushes I really dislike the formula of from Physicians Formula and lucky enough Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil Blush is not one.

I won’t go over the over marketing on the blush as there’s a lot of it with promises of smoothing, brightening, hydrating, etc…let’s just keep it simple! This is a blush with nice pigmentation and a nice texture. There, done, Darcy (Little For Keeps moment for ya there)!

These are highly fragranced with an exotic, spicy scent. I love the fragrance and it doesn’t bother me in the least. Hell, they should bottle it up as a body mist! I’d buy it! It smells delightful If you’re sensitive though you might wish to avoid.

These have a cute Moroccan design with a gold shimmer over spray that dusts away with the first use. The design is pretty deep so even after a few uses it’s still very visible! The dual compartment houses the blush on the top tier with a mirror and brush located on the bottom. Unfortunately, the brush is an improvement on past PF products launches but it still remains a shed-fest and the bristles aren’t the softest in my opinion so I use my own brush for application.

The blushes are dense but I have no trouble picking color up with my brush. They aren’t particularly silky but they apply with a nice airbrushed finish and good pigmentation with a wear of around 7 hours before showing minor fading. At first application you want to tap off excess as initially you’ll get the gold shimmer on your brush and no one wants that much shimmer on their face. I wouldn’t call these luminous but they have a pretty silky soft finish that’s healthy and natural on cheek bones.

Sometimes Physicians Formula blushes can be quite frosty but I had no such issues with Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra Nourishing Argan Oil Blush! I wouldn’t say the Argan Oil made any major changes to the formula and I didn’t feel like they were particularly hydrating on my skin but the formula is easy enough to use and wears nicely and naturally on my face.

I like!

The packaging and product look so pretty I wouldn’t be able to use them. @_@ I seriously want to steal the pressing plates that Physician’s Formula uses for these.

I love the design on the product! I wish they’d get more adventurous with their colours though.

Oh lovely Muse! I would like to say that your website is the only place that I feel confident in the recommendations and reviews of beauty products. Like you, I’m very young but have very dry skin. I was curious which of the Physician’s Formula blushes has had the best texture and lasting power for dry cheeks, without creating dry patches.

Also! I had some terrible acne the past couple months that was scarring and taking over my face. I started using Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil (my formulation is without Rose Hips, but that is what I will get when I run out) and I cannot believe how well my skin is healing! I have never loved a facial oil this much before. Just passing along a new Holy Grail product in my regimen.

aw thanks Alexa! that’s so flattering to hear! I have the same problem as you! dry, flaky cheeks and sometimes PF’s blushes are too frosty for me 🙁 I’m so glad to hear Palmer’s oil has been so helpful for your acne scarring! that’s great news! As for PF blush these, the cashmere line, and the matchmaker line are all good for drier skin in my experience!

I absolutely need Natural! The design and color are just beautiful. I’ve never tried a PF blush before but I hope I like it

Looking good! I really like the first one on you Muse. Its a great flush of color! I haven’t seen this hit shelves yet but I’ll have to keep my eye out.

in the swatch at he top, the rose rush (on the left?) seems to be lighter than the natural (to the right)that appears a brighter coral. Can you confirm that the right swatch (the lighter pink) is on the left? Thanks!!

thank you so much for the reviews on these!!! I decided to try them, and loved the colors on!!! the only thing that is getting to me is the fragrance, the argan oil scent reminds me of ceremonies back in Catholic grade school with the incense and such LOL, and I can smell it the whole time I have the blush on!!!

    • Isabella Muse

yay 🙂 glad you liked it Katrina! The smell is wonderful right? Wish they’d bottle them up!
