About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I don’t know if you’re a Walmart shopper or not, but they carry the Rimmel Stay Blushed in 5 shades for only $2.97 each, at least here in my tiny store in GA 🙂

      • Jenny H.

I wound up ordering mine from Walmart’s website, of all places. I normally avoid buying from them, but it’s literally the only place I’ve been able to find these! None of the stores in my area stock them, even though they were supposed to have been “released” here in the US months ago. And it’s not like I live in the middle of nowhere! Online it hasn’t been much better. ASOS was sold out when I last checked and the only other people that seemed to be selling them online apart from Walmart were Amazon marketplace sellers that were charging too much. I don’t know WTF Rimmel was playing at when they launched these in the US. Considering all the good reviews they’ve been getting online you’d think the company could have done a better job at making them available to buy. Grrr.

Anyway, even though it was a pain to get them, I’m glad I did, as Pop of Pink has become part of my daily makeup routine. I’m always wary of blush because I’m so pale and I’m worried about overdoing it and looking clownish. But with the Stay Blushed it’s really easy to start off sheer and build up the color if you need to. It isn’t as easy to blend over foundation as some fluid/cream blushers I’ve tried (like the Missha one) but I can still quickly and easily get a very natural-looking flush using my fingers to blend. And the shade Pop of Pink really works well with my skin tone. (I also got Sunkissed Cherry, which is a bit too red for me)

same here Jenny haven’t seen them around! I got two from ASOS recently. I wonder if they are waiting for a Summer launch!? I’m happy to hear they are pretty 🙂

We’ve actually had the Rimmel Stay Blushed! at my local KMart for at least a year. In the store there are five colors, but you only mentioned two; do you know if maybe they discontinued three of the shades?

    • Isabella Muse

I have NOT been able to get these ANYWHERE on this island! Seriously looked everywhere! I thought it was two shades didn’t realize it was five so I don’t think they were discontinued!

      • Andrew

Don’t you hate that when you hear about all of these cool items everywhere else EXCEPT where you live? Like the Physician’s Formula Lip and Cheek thing that came out recently; I’ve been looking for it for weeks and have come up empty-handed. I was at Wal Mart today and saw the space for it but nothing was there >.<

        • Isabella Muse

ugh drives me bonkers haha ;-D my best friend is pretty good about sleuthing stuff out for me, he finds freaking everything, me, it’s like a needle in a haystack! I never get lucky!

          • Andrew

I understand. I always end up finding the empty displays and want to either sit in the floor and weep or throw the display across the store haha. I swear it happens with every new release from every brand I like!

  • brenda

Don’t forget the Guerlain blushing pearls! They’re so cute! ( and sooo tiny )

  • diane

I picked up the Miley for Mac lippie yesterday. I may have bought extras because the money goes to a good cause. i LOVE it- such a beautiful shade of bright pink and fades to a pretty cool toned pink that stains all day

  • reen

    hi 🙂
the rimmel stay blushed in very nice and subtle. I hope u can find them!

also, in Canada, most stores have discontinued rimmel powder blushes.i actually liked their powder blushes a lot for natural looks. are they still on shelves in the US?

  • Cindy

That Clinique Sculptionary Cheek Contouring palette reminds me of the Fresh Bloom Allover Color in 01 Peony that I’ve been using for YEARS. I’m wondering if it’s the same colors with a different look. I’ll probably get it at some point anyway, LOL.

  • meganlisa

Great blog post! You made me want a few things I didn’t know I “need”. But so bright and perfect items for spring!

  • Carol

Muse, I got my Rimmel blushes at Meijer. Not sure if you have any of those in your neck of the woods. I have all the shades and I love them. They look so natural and they are so easy to use. Good luck in your hunt!

  • Kirsten Norman

My spring wish list isn’t heavy on color, but boy am I interested in the Rimmel blush and Bobbi Brown Brightening brick shown here. My wish list includes chanel crazy fushia lipgloss (there Must be a decent dupe out there somewhere?!?), Burberry luminizer and BB glow, and the new Guerlain meteorites compact. Will be breaking out some bright revlon lippies as well!

    • Isabella Muse

I want the new guerlains compact too that’s def on my spring wish list!

  • Kirsten Norman

More comments! I love the MAC Miley Cyrus lipstick, but am scared by the bright fuschia. Seems like such a good product, maybe I’ll try it on and see how it looks. This spring I’m adding a purple/pink eye pallet to my collection, and I’m looking for peach blush (probably will get NYX) and a berry fuschia or red a la the spring Chanel and Burberry beauty campaigns. Their price points are a bit high as I get fickle with lippies, so I’m thinking drugstore dupes or maybe UD or Nars- they both have great lipsticks right? I’m also looking for both a coral and goldish lip colors for spring- don’t have a formula preference yet. We’ll see what shows up this spring!

  • julie

    • Lacy

and I can’t wait to see the new colors of bobbi browns brightening bricks 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

oh thank you so much lacy! I actually ordered them from ASOS but I appreciate it 🙂

      • Lacy

No problem! I hate when every else can find new stuff and I can’t seem to locate it anywhere within a 100 mile radius!

I second the guerlin comepact too. That looks supppper pretty.

Also have you seen the new jordana modern matte lippies? they are killer and only 2.49!!

        • Isabella Muse

I HAVE I NEED haha they also have these cupcake flavored roller ball glosses coming out! so 80s! 😀

  • Jane

The Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick sounds nice. Are there more shades and are they very shimmery?

  • Kathleen

I got my Rimmel blushes at Wegman’s, if that’s helpful. 🙂 So surprised that they’re so hard to find, because that means there are no blushes available from Rimmel in every drugstore. Frankly, I miss their powdered ones. Some nice colors.
