About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I miss Stila’s old palettes. I was only able to pick up In The Light :/

  • Brooke Elise

i absolutely NEED to get my hands on that convertible colour palette! it’s absolutely stunning.

  • dgalvez

I bought the eyeshadow palette two days ago and I have been playing with it. It’s a nice palette, but it is not super special. I am not returning it, because the colors are nice, but in the future I will not be reaching for it everyday.

    • Isabella Muse

shoot. bad news! I heard the same about the windows palettes and since this is a new variation of it, well, it figures it isn’t all that amazing 🙁

      • dgalvez

Well I am no makeup expert and this is just my opinion, I might be wrong, but I do own all of the four windows palettes and I feel the formula on those is a bit better than this new one, not too much, but slightly better. However, this palette is still nice. The reason I am keeping it is because I will use it, not everyday, but I will use it since I am a nude/neutral eye type of girl. However, for the price and quality, I feel there are much better palettes. It definitely does not beat my theBalm NUDE ‘tude and NUDE Dude.

        • Isabella Muse

haha I’m not either so no worries there 🙂 I’ll have to swatch it and see what I think! I love nudes and can never get enough but the windows palettes got so many bad reviews I was worried this was the same!

          • dgalvez

I cannot get enough nudes either. Well, I will be on the lookout in case you do a review, because I really want to know what you think.

          • Isabella Muse

you’ve tempted me 🙂 that’s for sure so might just indulge :D!

  • MizzJ

The palettes look very pretty, so here’s hoping the quality is there too! The packaging is kinda blah.

  • Genevieve

I am not sure that the lip and cheek palette will be usable for everyone. There are too many shades and I think that half the shades or more could end up not being used after the first try.
Stila has burned quite a few people because of the poor quality of their last palettes and I think it is going to take a while to build up their reputation again. I am wondering why they are bringing out MORE neutral palettes onto the market when there is a glut of them. I think there are better ones around than this.

The blush sets are a great deal though heads up, I bought a set with Tulip in it recently and I didn’t like it. It didn’t blend as well as my other Stila convertible blushes and it’s too dark if you have pale skin. If you have more of a medium to dark skintone it might work for you.

The eye palette is pretty but I hate the two Stila shadows I own (Kitten and Cha Cha).

I wish they’d release even more lippies and more shades in their liquid liner line. I’m still not a liquid liner girl but lately Stila’s liquid liner is the only thing that doesn’t smudge on me.

  • Vanessa

Muse, what are the ounces of each convertible color in those pretty trio sets?

      • Vanessa

Oh thanks for such a quick response Muse. About half of a full size. Hmmm three half sizes would cost $37.50 total, so $20 for the set is a $17.50 savings!

          • Vanessa

Muse, one more question 🙂 are these convertible color trio sets onky available on the Stila website?

          • Isabella Muse

that’s the only place I’ve seen them so far! but hopefully sephora/nordies will get them! as well as ulta!

          • Vanessa

Okay thank you. Yes I do hope they come to Ulta or Sephora so I can points and free gifts LoL. Thanks Muse!

          • Isabella Muse
