Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Review & Swatches
Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick (.99 cents) is a cheap thrill you really have to pick up. From my understanding the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick packaging and formula has gotten a revamp for Spring 2015. I’ve never tried the original formula but it has gotten some great raves.
Recently, when I saw a display with the newly revamped Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick I decided to give a try and I’m so glad I did because it’s a great little beauty budget pick up!
Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick used to come in silver barrel with a clear top but now comes in a simple black plastic tube with a clear top. The packaging isn’t anything to write home about and the lipstick doesn’t swivel all the way down which is very annoying as I keep shaving off a chunk of lipstick each time I put the lid back on.
Aside from the quirky packaging I must say this is a fab little formula. The texture reminds me of a lightweight lip balm as it has an easy almost slick glide across lips with a lightly hydrating feel and a slight sheen finish. It wears very comfortable on my drier lips and it looks smooth, soft, and even. I tried Blind Date and it was very nicely pigmented. This is a vampy plum berry shade which normally would look bad on me but the intensity of the pigment is just right and the softer formula seems to make the shade more wearable and softer on my lips.

What’s really pleasant is the formula wears long and remains very moist through the wear so my lips felt nourished through the wear. I saw about four to five hours from the shade without it migrating or fading away and as I said it remained very pleasantly moist for the first three or so hours!
Yeah, the packaging isn’t anything to write home about but the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick formula is a pleasant little dollar surprise! I’d highly suggest picking up a few shades! The formula is very, very nice.
