YSL Couture Eye Primer

I figure if I’m going to go to hell it might as well be with $30 primer on my eyes yes? For Spring 2015, YSL Couture Eye Primer makes an appearance in two shade selections but it’ll cost ya….!

YSL Couture Eye Primer is a tempting little morsel since it can be used to intensify the look of color shadows while locking them in place for up to 16 hours…but it also likes to play at being a multitasking diva and brightens up the eye area for a nude eye look on its own!

You already know I’m quite a huge fan of Lemon Aid and I’ve been known to use it all its own without shadow on just to brighten up my lids a but so I’m always really tempted by products like YSL Couture Eye Primer to see how they compare to my simple Benefit Lemon Aid.

Stila released Prime Pots a few years ago that got a ton of raves but I hated the consistency and texture so I’m hoping for something a little denser from Couture Eye Primer.

The $30 isn’t an issue if the formula is awesome.

What do you think?

Worth a pick up!

YSL Couture Eye Primer for Spring 2015 is available in Fair and Medium and can purchased now at Saks.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If this is anything like the nude one in a pot from Lancôme……then run Forrest run.

Well, since I have really oily lids, I’m always on the prowl for primers that work. I found a couple that do for a lot less, but could always add more to the arsenal.

Lol, going to hell. I’ve been using Jordana’s eye pencil in the nude/almond color as a primer for two years now. I love it and its cheap as chips. I have really oily eyelids and it works so well. I just swipe it, blend it and then set it with face powder or eyeshadow. Keeps my liner from running and greatly brightens my shadows. It looks like concealer in pencil form. It dries pretty fast, is matte and once it sets, it’s on for 10 – 12 hours. For $30, I dunno. The Jordana pencil is only $3.99-$4.99. They will have to prey it from my cold, dead hands in hell lol.

Hmmmmmmmmm I dunno… I’m pretty happy with my Shadow Insurance primer and my Primer Potion, so I don’t really feel the need to explore other options.

I’ll have to give this a try, or maybe the Lemon Aid. I bought UD’s primer at Sephora and although it came highly recommended I find it way too drying on my already dry skin. Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
